Diet Pills Anyone?

Quote  |  Reply

I was just wondering if anyone uses any diet pills. I was looking into starting one because I think I would be more apt to follow a plan if I take a pill too (who wants to spend $40 or more for a pill if you aren't going to follow the plan?). I am not sure which one to try. I was thinking about trying Alli (sp), but when I read the reviews I am not sure if I would want a pill that may require me to take extra pants with me. LoL!!!

Just some info that may help, I am 5'6" and at 230. I want to lost about 90 pounds.

So, any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated.

The only diet pill I've ever tried was Alli. It was such a waste of money. I never got any of those gross side effects and it really didn't make me lose any more weight than I would have just cutting calories/fat intake by itself. The only thing I liked about the Alli program was the promotion of a low fat, low calorie diet. They say that you'll get those gross side effects if you go over a certain amount of fat (I believe it was 14 or 15 grams) per meal. Honestly, from my experience, diet pills are just a waste of money and you're better off just watching your calories and exercising more.
I was taking a prescription one called Tenuate that I really liked. You could ask your doctor about it.

I take a product called 'Xiushentang'.  It is a green algae fat dissolving element, but it really curves my appetite and that helps me make better and healther food choices. It comes from Japan and it has all natural ingredients. The only real side effect I had from it is a little bit of gas in the belly, but I burp it up with in the first 10 mins :P

Also another tip. . . drink alot of Green or Oolong Tea. Very good for you and your diet, drink at least 2 cups a day if not with every meal. (right now im trying a Earl Gray tea and finding it tasty! :) Im following the Japanese and Chinese ways of dieting, if you look up some sites on the subject, I think you would find it very interesting!
