I'm trying a diet pill called Zantrex-3. It's pretty much loaded withcaffeine, yerba mate, guarna geen tea, ect... I've noticed that it gives me a stomach ache for an hour or so after I take it. It's not so bad as long as I drink a lot of water. But it gives me sooooo much energy through out the day. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I check out trim spa, but the label scared me when I read that you need to swallow it fast or it might swell up in your throat causing death!

I was on Meridia a few years ago at one of my attempts to loose weight. It was prescribed by my doctor and she kept a careful watch on me. I lost a lot of weight, I thought, all I remember was her shocked at my loss of 27 pounds in 2 months. As my blood pressure increased, we decided to I should stop taking them. I have been dieting now for 5 weeks and have lost 18 pounds using NO pills...So the pills were not the reason why I was loosing weight, but they were the cause of High Blood pressure. I want to be small just like the next guy, but it wouldn't look so good if I were to have a stroke and half my face drooped.
Wow I am in shock too. I don't think combining all of those are a good idea Jen. Don't get me wrong I am one of those that has taken diet pills in the past. Actually I have some stacker 3's in my cabinet right now and I maybe take one or two a week. If I get tired of having an off day I take one but I don't rely on the. My friend takes Stacker 2's and has lost 2 pants sizes and she doesn't exercise or eat right. But she did go from a stay at home mom to working full time as a clerk in a gas station. She thinks it is the pills and I personally think it is because she is active again.
Not a good idea at all...any of them. I took one that did wonders that was from China, next thing I knew I had kidney stones. Being naive after my surgery to remove the stones, I tried another name brand one, and low and behold more kidney stones. Most of our bodies are unable to process nutrients at that high of level and although they may be all natural, our body cannot break them down. Therefore they end of collecting as uric acid, or other types of acid that form stones in our kidneys. I drank more water than is reccomended and my doctor pinpointed to diet pills as soon as I told him I was on them. The medical field is seeing an iincrease in women(young ones especially) becuase of this problem. SO jsut FYI beware!!
anyone ever try stacker3? theyve got kola nut, cactus extract, grapefruit extract, caffeine (250 mg), green tea, and guarana in them. I've been thinking of taking them because a friend recommended them for the energy boost.
i used to take stacker 2 and end up losing about 80lbs in about a year with them. i kept it off for about a year until i got pregnant, then i had two babys 11 months apart. the first baby i gained about 50lbs...i know, i used being pregnant as an excuse to eat everything...the second one i gained about 30lbs. thats what i'm trying to get off now is all the baby weight. so anyway, from my experience the stacker2 worked, that was also when they had effedra(sp) in them. i tried taking stacker3 but the fat blocker stuff gave me stomach cramps so i switched back to stacker 2.
I haven't used any kind of diet aids. I do drink Ensure on the days my daily calorie intake falls short of the recommended levels. I'm in my 50's and I don't want to become dependent on any kind of pills/powders. I'd be afraid that if I stopped taking one of the aforementioned pills/powders - that I'd regain all that I've lost plus more. Or, all the new found energy would be gone. By losing weight - my energy levels have increased naturally. Couldn't walk four blocks without huffing & puffing....now I easily walk three miles a day. Before, I'd wake up 2, 3, 4 times a night.....now I sleep a good solid 6 to 7 hours with no wake-ups. Heartburn & indigestion were constant companions - no more! And....I'm wearing a size 10 - you can not imagine when the last time I wore a size ten was....I'm thinking the early 1990's. I needed to take control and do this - no pill or powder could do it for me. Talk to your doctor, hon.....make sure what you are taking today isn't going to haunt you in 2, 5, or 10 years. &nb sp;
i am too scared to try any of the so called diet pills. but i
would say one medicine i am on has helped my weight loss. i am on
metformin for insulin problems related to polycystic ovarian
syndrome. normally, it's just for diabetics. however, pcos
can cause similar insulin problems. my obgyn put me on it to help
regulate me and as a bonus help me lose weight.

I take 2 Trimspa a day. One right before lunch about 12pm-1pm and then before the gym, which is about 3:30-4 or so. I think it is an amazing pill, it controls my hunger until after my workout. So about 7 hrs (from 1 until 7 or 8pm). I am able to run like a maniac and I feel great! I even was able to do a 6 minute mile!!! I do not suggest this pill if you do not work out vigorously. It might make you irritable and a bit flighty. Also unable to sleep if you dont work it all off.
If you do go to the gym and like to work hard, it is the BEST!

I have to say that they "Tight!" energy pill Im taking is really helping. It isn't a diet pill, its an energy pill, but with more energy I feel way more open to going to the gym, and put more energy into very thing I do. My boss is loving it, and Im enjoying how much stuff Im getting done!
HI,
I take green tea extract pills and they suppress my appetite alot. I still eat regularly but I'm not as hungry or crave as much as before I started taking them. They really work. I take one in the morning and one at lunch and it does the trick. I don't "graze" anymore (that's what one of my co workers calls it when I snacked alot).

I'm glad I found this site. I was about to purchase these pills--slim quick. I'm desperate. When I try to eat right and exercise I get no results. It's as though my body insists on putting on weight. I've always been active and still am...I exercise four times a week. But I don't make a dent. I'm seriously, seriously desperate.
I have been dieting for over a week now. Using Hydroxycut w/caffeine. Before, I used Hydroxycut w/o caffeine and was not impressed. Although with the caffeine, I have experienced NO problems with it, and I am following the directions word for word. It gives just enough energy but it does not make me feel shaky and I also do not feel my heart racing. Personally, it does cut my appetite but I sill eat three meals a day with a small snack and walk 1 mile a day. I am having great results.
Bring back Ephedra! Hey they still sell cigarettes and thousands of people die. They stop selling ephedra because a few people die. I had great success with Metabolife ephedra but there is nothing today that I know of that compares to it.
Jen no wonder your not hungry your tummys full of pills, theres no space for food. Do whatever works for you but be careful, the dosage is based on the assumption that your not taking anything else, your problably doubling up on may of the ingredients.
Stay as far away from diet pills as humanly possiable. I almost died from taking stacker 2 back in the days of ephedria. I was in college and had a full time job at night, so I took them for energy. I only tookk what it said on the bottle (don't remember the amount anymore.) Anyway I went for a run and collasped, my heart was beating so fast is could no long pump blood properly. Even after I stopped the effects are still there. To this day I have to where a heart monitor when I exercise because I have a bad illegular heart beat. I realize that ephedia is not in the pills anymore, but lets face is nothing has worked as well since. I companys are looking for the next big fat burner all the time. Usually that means speeding up you heart.
my boyfriend tried the zantrex three.
lost 15 pounds
put 15 back on
even he at over 200 pounds and a male thought they were a little strong.
i think the doses are way too strong.
they make me sick (not mad but actually feel sick)
i prefer my yogi fasting tea.
i dont have to keep taking it
i only have it when i get that rebound hunger from a loss or pms or if i had already met my cal limit for the day.
it doesnt make me sick or feel wierd or anything.
i just feel satisfied.
but because its a herbal tea i would take the box or list of ings to your doctors to see if its going to be a bad mix with anything else.
especially if you are on depression or anxiety meds.
yogi tea has a website online where you can view thier products and they sell the teas at health food stores.
they have free samples usually on the site.
i dont know if they will have the fasting one.
but free tea is free tea!
:)
other than that heres some healthy supps that help you lose:
(not a total 100% thing but it works for some and it makes everyone look better even if they dont lose because its healthy)
-multivitamin
-biotin/msm/glucosamine - for skin/hair/nails/joints
-vitamin b complex
-calcium suppliments
- omega 3-6-9

i ordered a pack of ephedia over the internet (im in London) im awaiting them for the past 2 weeks, i rush home every day expecting my porter to have them, stupidly thinking im going to magically become skinny. Pills have ever worked before so i dont know why i think they suddenly will, but i guess i live in hope. ill keep you up dated.
Thought id bought Zantrex 3 a few weeks ago but it never arrived so not sure where that ended up.

Diet pills should be regarded as supplements. You should be able to exercise and diet to lose weight. Only when you reach a plateau should you consider them. If you're just starting and aren't losing weight, you should look to your diet and exercise regime, not some magic pill that will lose weight for you.
I have some ephedra pills from back when they were still legal. I might take one or two a week to get over a plateau, although I'll probably take one or two green tea extract instead and vary my calories. I've found when I'm on any diet pill for over a week, my immune system goes down, and I eventually end up getting a cold or an infection.
If you do take any of these pills, be wary when your heartrate goes up. If you're doing cardio and you notice your heartrate soar, begin to decrease your intensity and stop (but don't stop immediately either because that can cause extra stress too).
Also note, if a diet pill really works, it is changing you body chemistry. There will always be people who do not respond well to this. Always first consult a doctor, and take in low quantities to begin with.

I guess it depends on the person. I can't touch them. Were they effective when I took them? Yes. Did I abuse the hell out of them? You bet. I would take so many they would make me puke, I would be shaky and sick. What I am saying is, DON'T ABUSE THEM!!!
Any kind of diet aid just scares the h*** out of me. A few years ago I took metabolife. I had been taking it for several months off and on, not all the time, but just when I needed to get off a plateau. All of a sudden, I became extremely dizzy and thought I was going to pass out. I was home alone at the time and didnt think I could make it to the phone to call anyone and just sat there wondering if when my husband came home he was going to find me dead. The first time I tried it they had ephedrine. After that they took the ephedrine out and I tried it again and the same thing happened. Both times the pills went straight in the garbage. What a waste!
