Does anyone take a diet pill in conjunction with their diet/excerise?
nope, tried them, ages ago, they didn't work... this time around I've lost as much as the people in the commercials just as fast without taking the pills... besides they all say WITH diet and exercise anyway, so it's the diet and exercise doing the trick ;)
No. I used to take Farenheit Fat Burner, but didn't notice any difference in body fat loss. I decided it was easier to do naturally.
Did you have one in mind for yourself?

I tried the whole counting cals and excersising for a week and thought with a drastic change in lifestyle that I would see at least the one lb come off but I didnt. So I went back to taking some pills from Mexico. Theyre called Axcion they have an ingrediet called phentermine. Really Really Really surpressed my appetite which was one of my big troubles. Its working, Im busting my but and I hope to keep on losing.
Phentermine is EXACTLY what im taking. Its the generic for Adipex. It was prescribed by my PCP. I actually LOVE it so far, I started my diet a week ago today and ive already lost 10 pounds. I know thats healthy though. Im actually learning alot through here now about the right calorie intake, etc.
CORRECTION from previous post * NOT HEALTHY*
i was looking up phentermine, what kind are you taking, blue? yellow? mg's? I am curious to looka these.
I take CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) after reading independent studies with them showing it helps with losing weight and toning muscle.
I'm doing pretty well so far, so who knows. No one has marketed the hell out of it yet or added other strange ingredients to the pills so I'm happy with it for now!

I take the ones that are blue and white. Its the generic. I think on my next refill I will get branded and see if there is any difference. I had to get a complete physical by my Dr. before starting them. As well as I have to go back each time for a refill for him to blood work, and an EKG. He says it only lasts about 3 months, then you have to lay off it for a while. I feel great though. No weird side affects, or mood changes. I actually feel the best I have felt in a long time.
It is 37.5mg
I seen a a website where you can buy them online...prolly not such a good idea huh?
I just began taking Stacker 3 -- BOY, do they give you energy! I am getting up and going to the gym instead of making excuses and THEN getting housework done. They also seem to curb appetite; I have to remember to eat. I probably won't take them long-period, but I definitely needed a jump-start to get my metabolism cranked up. I figure after I go to the gym for awhile my metabolism will be as such that I won't need the pills anymore and I will be used to a new daily regime (fingers crossed).
This is a nice post for me because I was just gonna ask if anyone is taking any weightloss pills and if so what they are.
I have been on my weightloss journey since jan. 24, 2007. to date i have lost 36 lbs and kept it off. I am currently in my second plateau and well I'm thinkin about takin somthin that might kick me outta it. I have never takin a weightloss pill and was wondering if they make you really jittery or shakey or anything.
Any suggestions?
I just saw a new advertisment for the only fda approved pill called Alli and was wondering if anyone has takin this pill?

KRISTIN, Before you even consider taking Alli you should take a look at the side effects (ex: uncontrollable bowels) they all seem very unpleasant and socially unacceptable to me. They are FDA approved however.
ewwwww!! whoa thanx for the advice!!! LOL. I guess Im just desperate to get outta this plateau.
K-Queen,
Have you tried mixing up you workouts first?

WARNING
LIPOZENE ENLARGED MY HEART AND I AM CURRENTLY GOING THROUGH MAJOR HEALTH PROBLEMS BECAUSE OF IT.
I took Lipozene on new years day, and immediatley went into panic attacks. I did not know what they were at the time, so I went to the ER, and was told it's no big deal. All of the sudden I started having severe chest pain, palpatations, missed beats, extra beats, heart flutters, chest tightness, and trouble breathing. When I finally had an echo done, I found that my heart was enlarged. I called a lawyer but he said since I did not have a heart attack or stroke, that I had NO case.
So, how do I know Lipozene did this to me? Because I NEVER had any kind of heart problems before this, and they just happened to start after I took ONE dose of this awful drug. Also, I used to take yellow jackets a few years ago (for those who dont know what those are...they are pure ephedrine), and I ended up in the hospital because it make my heart race and made my breathing shallow.
When I was talking to my doctor about Lipozene and what it contained, I said that I got it because the bottle it said it DID NOT contain Ephedrine. My doctor told me that ALL diet pills contain ephedrine, but not legally enough to have to put it on the ingredient list; however, since this is the case the weight loss drug companies binded ephedrine with another kind of drug that IS legal which makes it all the more potent.
I HOPE everyone reads this, and takes heart....because it ALMOST took mine.

I would personally NOT recommend OTC (over the counter! Sorry, the nurse is coming out in me). I have taken about 4-5 different type of OTC diet pills, and they NEVER worked. I would recommend consulting with your physician about one that fits your lifestyle, and past medical history. I have def. heard GREAT things about the Adipex (Phentermine) that I am currently taking. It's FDA approved and only available (LEGALLY) by a prescription, and from a pharamacy. I saw where you can buy that online too, and I DEFINETLY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THAT! It could be a pluecbo (sp?) with lord knows what in it! NEVER, EVER buy any medications off of the internet without a prescription from your PCP.
I'm a Nurse so I cant stress that enough. Case: We had a pt. that we put on Accutane for severe Acne. I dont know of you are aware of Accutane, but it is so powerful, that it is government regulated now. Everyone who is on it, has an ID #, and they have to have blood work every 4 weeks, constant pregnancy checks for females, etc. Well, we had an guy that was from Iran. He was put on this, and thought he would buy the medication off the internet because it would be cheaper than his insurance copay. After my dr. told him she would no longer see him if he did that, he continued. He ended up getting stuff, that was NOT Accutane, and he nearly died. No to mention that my DR. could of lost her license because she was giving him an rx. for the medication, and he was getting it somewhere else. My Dr. could of been resonable for that. The moral is, NEVER, NEVER, EVER BUY RX'S FROM THER INTERNET! (Sorry for the rambling)

diet pills = unhealthy
I also take them but I take Zantrex 3. I just take one a day instead of the recommened dose of 4 a day. I do it also to control my appetite. Years ago I was taking Dexatrim and I lost an extreme amount of weight but it was not healthy. I feel as long as the side effects are not harmfull my it is fine. I heard Hoodia is a good supplement to take if you are interested in diet pills.
WOW...HOLY CRAP!!! I just have to say that I take back my interest in diet pills and there is noway in hell I will take them...EVER!!! Ill keep doin it the old fashioned way
As of today I am switchin up my routine...
-shill- This week I will do Workout videos for 30 mins a day, and next week Elliptical and so on to keep switchin things up a lil. I have only been doin the elliptical for my cardio for 5 mos now so this will be new to me.
