I am wanting  to lose about 5 pounds. What are the cheapest, most effective weight loss pills?  My meltabolism is a bit screwed from struggling with eating disorders. I cant seem to lose weight, so I was thinking about trying diet pills.

If you are recovering from ED, then diet pills is not a good idea. It will only mess around more with your system.

The cheapest most effective way is to exercise regularly and moderately (not like spending 2hours at the gym). eating healthy, and you will get there. Remember, it is not just weight that matters. It is also inches. You can weigh more but smaller and leaner, or weigh les but fatter.

What about the new Alli?
The only ones I've really tried are the really cheap ones with green tea and bitter orange, there were two different ones I don't remember what they were called but they were cheap. They had a bunch of other random ingredients in them. I lost weight, but that might have been because of all the time I spent working out. Don't try hoodia unless you do research and you know that the brand you are buying is real, I bought some and I think it was fake because it didn't do anything. The more expensive pills like Trimspa and stuff might be effective, but they are expensive and you don't know until you try them so it's sort of a gamble. I think your best bet is probably to skip the pills and just make healthy lifestyle changes.
I agree with sweet_tart and birdy22, skip the diet pills and make a commentment to a healthier lifestyle. Balanced diet and exercise.

Here's a link to a great thread on diet pills.

Five pounds'll be EASY! You don't need any "help" with that! :)
diet pills are easy to abuse... especially if you have or are recovering from an eating disorder. i've gone down that path... no good!
diet pills? not a good idea

sensible eating and exercise are the long term answers
Most diet pills out today fall into two categories: useless, and almost useless. The latter kind are the ones with caffeine, and they don't really do anything except give you a little more energy. But caffeine addictions are a pain in the butt to break (well, more of a pain in the temples and behind the eyes).

Skip the pills, and if you need a boost and aren't too sensitive to caffeine, drink a glass of tea.
Not alli! It is sort of like imposing bulimia on yourself. Also, it is only meant for BMI of 25 or higher.
