Diet programs?

Quote  |  Reply

I'm trying to loose weight. Currently, Im on my own (just trying to eat healthy, exercise, etc.) However, after talking to aa friend, I think I might be better joining a gym or becoming part of a program like weight watchers. What do you guys do? What has worked for you?

I think a support system like weight watchers is a good option. If you're eating healthier already, just adding a little exercise everyday may be enough for lasting results. Personally, I find CC alone to be enough to keep me motivated. I love the online discussion and support. When I'm not away at school, and home for the summer break, I love Curves for Women. It's a low impact exercise program that many women of all shapes and sizes enjoy. I love the social aspect and find other women's stories encouraging and inspiring. I've lost quite a bit of weight from CC and Curves, and do recommend them alone, or combined. If you have a workout and weight loss buddy though, that may work just as well for you. Play around. Experiment!

I was in the same boat you are and the problem that I ran into with going to  a gym for years is not knowing what to do, and hiring  a personal trainner is pretty exspensive. I will send you a message with what worked for me.

Joining a gym is a great way to speed up your weight loss.  I would do that rather than spend 40 bucks a month weighing in at WW.  I mean, you get support and all, but it doesn't come with a gym.

What's your motivation?

Do your own thing. Watch your cals, no fast food/fried food. Excercise at a pace that is understandable by you but you must push yourself. Get your heart rate up. Eat regularly in moderation so your metabolism gets on a functional basis. DRINK WATER.
