no. u will gain weight first of all bc ur body thinks u are starving it, then it will hold on to all of the fat u have on ur body, u need a minimum of 1200 calories. if u take it off slow then it will most likely stay off forever. but if u rush weight losss then the weight will come back double what u lost.
i know that,i know alot about nurtrition, but 1200 calories doesnt work for me it just maintains my weight as im light so i dont need many calories but i was just wondering if you need to exercise with 800 calories
you should exercise for the health benefits. cardiovascular activity is wonderful for the heart, it helps build strong bones and muscle, etc. i suggest you eat the 1200 and exercise (and eat back what you do burn off).
If you maintain at 1200, that is a HUGE clue that you are currently in starvation mode.
Please make sure you eat 1200 everyday and if you exercise, please eat back those.
So if you burn 300 calories running, you need to eat 1500. Otherwise you will continue down the long horrible road of starvation mode.
If you truely believe it is impossible for you to lose weight on 1200 calories a day, please go to your doctor and have your thyroid checked.

Your profile says you're 5'2" and 105 lbs...I can't see how you need to lose more weight, but I can see where you'd want to stay at that weight or close to it.
Check out the posts on shorties, they might have accurate information for someone your height and how to adjust the basic 1200 to suit your size.
