so i'm wondering is there a difference between diet soda and flavored water(walmart brand)...

i've stopped drinking diet soda and begun drinking the flavored water. with the acid-like taste, it gets the job done, but are they okay to drink? healthy?

It's funny, I just saw an article in the paper about flavored water. It basically warned readers that flavored water may have hidden calories, and to check the label. If it says serving: 1 bottle and it has 0 calories, you're pretty safe.

As for health, flavored water definately seems healthier than diet soda. The Fruit2O says it contains 'natural flavors,' but hey, when do labels tell the truth anymore.. ):
just be careful about the acidity of these drinks. I don't know what it is, but if tastes acidy it must have some, this is really bad for your teeth. So if you do drink it make sure to rinse you mouth with normal water or chew gum (sugar free) and not brush until the enamel has enough time to set after drinking (about 30minutes)

BTW these rules should also be followed if drinking orange juice or anything with lots of acids, like diet coke, sprite, fanta etc. DON'T ever brush straight after drinking, or you will also brush off the enamel!!
You mean the carbonated, basically soda flavored water?  Both are bad for you.
I have never been a diet soda drinker. The after taste always got me.
My thing is that I just didn't drink enough, period. I NEVER drank water because it didn't appeal to me.
However, once I discovered Fruit20 it became much easier.
I LOVE it.  The regular flavors are good (raspberry, strawberry, lemon and grape) are good, but I especially like the new ones (Hydration, Relaxation, Energy, and Immunity).
They all are ZERO calorie and a wonderful alternative to plain water or soda.

Two thumbs up from me :)

yeah, i guess you can call them carbonated water...the label says flavored water...
Oh, now those....not so sure they are a healthy alternative.
I was referring to the plain, simply flavored water.

Another good alternative is to flavor your own water using True Lemon, True Lime, or True Orange packets. They add a hint of flavor and are zero calories as well.
You can even add a packet of sweetner to it if you desire.
The True Lemon, Lime and orange packets can be found in your grocer in the sugar aisle.

Once I gave up carbonation, and all the bubbles left my system, my stomach became so flat! It was a nice surprise! Highly reccommended!*~
