Alright I am not really big on soda but once and a while I'll have a can of diet soda to feel like I  having a treat but without the calorie filled part of that scene. But I heard somewhere that diet sodas can make you gain weight too. Is this true?

I hope not I drink a ton of diet soda. It craves my appitite. I cant drink regular. First of all it has alot of calories and 2nd it is sooo sweet.
what i've heard more is that regular soda can make you gain weight and if you stop drinking regular sode frequently, then you might even lose some weight

i don't know about a specific correlation between diet sodas and weight gain
diet soda, is basically just sodium...which retains water so yeah it probably makes you gain weight for a while but its not permanent pounds.

I drink it WAY too much...and it the aspertame causes brain cancer, but then again what doesnt cause cancer these days? I hear someone say "_____ causes cancer" at least once a day...who knows anymore.
supposedly it causes you to eat more after drinking it. sometimes i binge after drinking diet pop, but other times i eat normal. so i'm not really sure.
There was some research in the news reporting that drinking diet soda is a predictor for later weight gain. That is, people who start drinking diet soda end up getting fat. Does this mean that diet soda causes weight gain? No. It is more likely that people who notice they are starting to gain weight switch to diet soda (which is an easy change) but continue to gain weight because they haven't otherwise adjusted their eating/exercise habits.

That said, I don't touch diet soda myself. I mostly drink water and herbal tea (hot or cold).

I have a little diet pop sometimes. I don't think a LITTLE is that bad. But don't drink it all day. Some people drink like 10 a day, that ain't good.

It doesn't have that much Sodium.
