Diet-Themed HAIKU Thread

Haiku is a form of Japanese poetry that does not need to rhyme. Traditionally, it consists of three lines of related verse, with 5, 7 and 5 syllables per line. Punctuation and capitalization are optional.

WELCOME, HAIKU FANS!!! The purpose of this thread is to allow you to use your creativity and literary license to encourage, motivate, rant/whine, or otherwise express yourself on the topics of DIETING, WEIGHT LOSS, FOOD, etc. We especially enjoy witty, humorous, sarcastic and "ranting" ... but other forms of haiku are welcome, as well!

EXAMPLES .....

BROCCOLI

Dark green stumpy trees.

You call to me so loudly

"Put down the ice cream"

Fiber is my friend

So healthy in my diet

It makes me go ... poo.

Stuck on a plateau?
Fiber Fiber that's the key!

Starting to lose weight
Hopeful but very cautious
Avoid Chocolate

My scale says "get off"
Sometimes it just says "error"
One time it said "ouch"

Lost ten pounds so far
Only a hundred to go ...
Pizza is evil.

Lean protein we need
Have you thought about chicken?
What a healthy food.

Being fat is no fun

Eating healthy is no fun

Diet is my DOOM!

lingering hunger
Then I ate ten pickles
Think I will burp now.

Know what it just said?

I said "forget it"
"I need it more than you do
Weigh that in your mind"

It said to me then,
"I'm feeling out of balance"
It wants sympathy.

My scale feels so bad,
It carries the weight of the world,
That's more than enough.

My scale needs ther'py.
It's doing the best it can.
Yet it's off balance.
