Ok, see this as a random test! How did the diet go today? Did you comply fully or cheat a little? What did you have and did it meet your plan?
For me, it was an ok day. Up early and had 300 cals breakfast as planned - Muesli and milk. Forgot to eat the strawberries that go off today though. Unfortunately, missed my morning snack and because of work couldn't have lunch until 2pm. I added the 150 cals snack to my 500 cals lunch - pre-packed prawn salad, ham, 2 slices good bread and big pack of fresh pineapple. Almost exactly 650 cals. For dinner I had salad, 2 small steamed potatoes, 3 small pork kebabs, 2 small minted lamb chops and 2 slices of bread and low fat salad dressing, came in at around 875 cals, 25 cals less than my allotted 900, but not an ideal meal, given all the meat and more bread. I have 150 cals left for a snack later. Will be fruit.
How did everyone else do? I would be interested to hear if people are happy with their calorie compliance today and to know what went wrong or what what went right. I'm on the look out for good food ideas as always.
I had a so-so day yesterday.
Was rushed and had to skip breakfast.
Lean Cuisine for lunch.
15 Kashi Tasty Little Crackers for afternoon/before gym snack.
9 Cheddar Cheese Rice Cakes for after gym snack.
Spinach, Apple, Strawberry, Grape, Feta, Walnut, Raisin salad and small piece of chicken for dinner.
Pudding cup for dessert.
Eh, added up to around 1300 calories. Should've eaten more veggies/fruit throughout the day, though.

1600 calories!! I'm doing the zigzag calorie diet and this was my low cal day! I still was STUFFED though! It was a good day!
Wow, I am impressed by both you guys! (except for the naughty breakfast miss!)
I still can't bring myself to weigh foods often enough. If the current plan doesn't work, then I'm going to get very specific about things like that.
K-Loo, I am with you on the exercise. It's so tough to kid yourself that you enjoy it! I am on a rest day. I didn't rest Saturday as usual and was going to rest either yesterday or today. It's today, but enforced rather than choice. I would have skipped the rest and had a relatively gentle cycle, but after doing a 2 1/2 walk on Sunday in untested shoes (burned a whopping 1025 cals according to this site) I have a couple of nasty blisters! Did some upper body weights yesterday, but probably shouldn't do twice in a row. As I can now walk without crying, I'll be back on the bike tomorrow. Am planning cycle in morning and weights in evening!
Keep them coming........
Sounds like there are some good diet products available over in the US
I had a pretty good day, like k loo im doing the zig zagging of cals and it was a low day! was not looking forward to it,

Total: 1222 cals eaten.. seems like a lot of food though right???
Tomorrow: Cal target: 1500- SWEET!!!!!
Sounds good! 1222 seems like hardly any calories though! Heck of a good effort.
Re. the zig zag, where did you get the info for this? do you find it is working? I was thinking of chopping my 1900 per day to make it a zig zag. Wouldn't mind a bigger day on the weekend.
Ya, 1222 isnt a great amount of calories to have, Its funny how 1300 is so much more manageable, however, for a couple of 'low days' a week i can live with it, I eat way more on sundays (1700) than throughout the week and I allow for a little boozing too at wkend whilst still maintaining a 1300-1400 calorie average so this regime fits in better to my lifestyle, I logged onto http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calc ulator.htm to get a guide kind of the amount approx i ought to be taking in each day and adjusted the up and down days to the days i know I need less cals (usually sat cos i sleep in late) and the days I eat and drink more (sundays)! Im only really started it this week to shake up my metabolism, I have about 5-7 pounds to lose so I know itll be tough to get those off
Today was a little rough for me. I picked up a buddy at the airport at almost midnight last night and we talked and talked when we should've gone to bed. I stayed over at his place, which is in the city where I work so I didn't have my usual healthy breakfast; normally, I have spinach, two whole eggs and a Thomas' Light Multigrain English Muffin. I had a huge bagel instead with ham and swiss cheese (Jarlsberg Light, though) on it. That thing was a beast. I don't think I've eaten a bagel in almost a year! Then I sang at a funeral downtown on my lunch break, so I just noshed at my desk all day: grape tomatoes, two boiled eggs, Fiber One yogurt, cheddar cheese stick, pita chips, a banana, a Larabar... I logged everything and came home and ate two scrambled egg whites, spinach and the English Muffin I missed at breakfast. I am 326 calories under my calorie goal but I'm too tired to be hungry! (Miracle...) I find my day goes much better if I eat a hearty breakfast. That bagel won't kill me, but I used to eat bagels and cream cheese all the time - ugh. I use I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray - negligible calories and it tastes better than I expected. I also use FlatOut bread and whole pitas for "pita pizzas" and eat a lot of frozen veggies. I don't limit veggies or fruits, but I do count all my calories - that kind of structure keeps me on the right track. I've lost 75 lbs since last September, and I'm not dieting, I am living the life I think I can live reasonably for the rest of my earthly days - light exercise, sensible food choices most of the time, and most of all NO PUNISHING MYSELF- I just move right along. Every day is a clean slate and every good choice I make will lead to more good things...
It's working. Good luck on your journey!
Well let's see...
yesterday I forgot breakfast and had a nature valley bar instead around 9:00... 180 cals, a bit low
at lunch I was therefore starving and ate what I thought was a normal sized portion of Belgian Chicken Stew at my dining hall, which was really good. It had cranberries in it, and was kinda sweet.... anyway, the nutrition facts for this my school posted said it was 771 calories... for the cryptic serving size of "0 1/4 each". I swear, looking at dining hall nutrition facts makes me SO ANGRY. I went ahead and logged it for 771... but I really think it was more like 400 TOPS. Also had some pita bread and some dips. Logged as 400 but I think it was less. So lunch was less than stellar but I felt satisfied and not overfull.
For Dinner I had a Lean Cuisine garlic chicken pizza for 340 cals and the best dried cranberries in the world at 130 for a half a cup I think...
Total Calorie Count: 1827 counting the listed calorie count for that damn stew, and only 1456 if it was grossly overcounted and mis-proportioned. My Goal is 1500 without exercise. I didn't exercise, haven't for weeks, too much homework.
So. If I didn't overeat, it wasn't that bad, but I think I need more veggies and less sugar. And like I said, I didn't ever feel overfull so I consider it not a complete disaster.
