THANKS so much for letting me in on this secret!

How many cals per serving?  Is one serving satisfying?  Enjoy!
I just go by the nutritional label on the back of the cake mix under the "dry mix" column.  And yes, one serving is satisfying!  And I cannot believe how much better it is than if you prepare it according to directions.  It's great!
YYYYUMMMMY its making me hungry!!
i'm making either today or tomorrow cuz i'm not sure if i have 7up in the fridge or not right now.. banana flavored cake with 7up.. i love that stuff!  :)
I just made a lemon cake mix with 7-up. Very tasty!!!
ohh.. i made that combo about a month ago.. soooo goood.. :)
do any of you know a cake mix without partially hydrogenated oils? i looked all over and every single mix has it listed as an ingredient
hey, I'm sort of confused about how to understand the caloric content of a mix used with diet soda.

I have a box of Dr. Oetker Organic brownie mix, no trans fats, no GMO's, al ingredients grown w/o pesticides, synthetic fertilizers etc etc etc...

It says there are 9 servings when made with 1/4 cup melted butter and 2 whole eggs in an 8 inch square pan: Total of 160 calories per serving/1440 for the whole thingee.

So, if I subtract the calories for the butter (409) and the 2 eggs (156) I come up with a total of 875 which divided by 9 servings equals almost 97calories per serving...or 63 less than the original count.

Is this correct? For some reason I thought it would be a lot less...???
that actually sounds about right for it.. a 100 calorie piece of cake is awesome!  :)
Ok. Thanks OB, I guess I'll try out the brownie mix and see how it comes out. Have you ever tried brownies with diet soda? Or is it just for cake?
i haven't but i think i read once that nirvrush tried it.. i don't remember if she said it turned out or not..
i posted this under the diet coke cake. i tried the recipe with the trader joes' banana bread mix:

instead of eggs, oil, and water i added 8 oz of pepsi 1 (with splenda). i also added 1 large banana, some wheat bran, 1 tsp vanilla and little cinnamon. then i baked it as directed on the box.

turned out great! tasted even better than the original!
ohhh.. i'm so putting in a banana in my mix.. darn it though i don't have a 7up. will have to wait till tomorrow..

I made a white cake with some Tangerine Diet Rite (with Splenda) last night, as kind of an experiment.  I was worried it might be weird, but it kinda tastes like a creamsicle ^_^ .
The brownies were super! I only used 4 oz. of lemon seltzer...wanted to keep the chocolate flavor and the chewy-ness of brownies. YUM!

How can I make walking fun?

You have to find a way to make exercise fun or else you won't do it. If you walk indoors on a treadmill, I recommend moving outdoors into the fresh air... Read more
