My dieting is really working??

Quote  |  Reply

I posted a week or two ago about how I lost weight and nobody noticed.

Well...it's happening! All of a sudden people are noticing, complimenting me, and hitting on me (I'm happily married, but it feels real good to be hit on after 2 years of NOTHING).

It's the first time I've thought to myself that my dieting is REALLY working!

My clothes are no longer baggy, I no longer slouch, and I feel better about myself! I'm getting back to the way I was 4 years ago.

When was it that you said to yourself, "my dieting is really working!"?

Congratulations!! It's great to hear about people's success :) All the best! x

Congrats :)  I haven't been dieting for that long, and while I've noticed the scale changing I haven't noticed much difference in the way I look. But yesterday, I tried on a dress that I got last year which has never fitted me and I managed to get it on and zipped no problem! That's pretty much when I realised my dieting was working, I was ridiculously excited lol.

I am chuckling here as you guys are asking ceils444 her diet details ... helloooo?! We are on Calorie Count, I hope she is Calorie Counting and using the Tools to figure out a burn rate and a calorie target for intake. And I hope you are too, it's sort of why we are here :)

I knew it was working when I was able to put my wedding dress on and zip the back up all the way without  struggling or sucking it in with spanks (lol) Congrates to you always! Keep it up the great work!

I have lost 10lbs since January 1st and it really hasn't been that hard.  This is the first time I've dieted and lost weight this easy and the first time I haven't been miserable doing it.

I have simply been watching my calories and my fat intake.  I have an english muffin with light butter and sugar free preserves, fat free yogurt & green tea for breakfast instead of pop tarts or donuts.  Mini rice cakes instead of crackers or chips and salad for lunch instead of whatever sounded good and I have a sensible dinner.  Since my family protests at extremely low fat low calorie dinners I save up my calories and fat intake for dinner and it's worked so far!

Congratulations!  I personally believe that people begin to notice weigh loss after 10-15 pounds.  I found that when I lost 8 pounds nobody said anything but when I got to like 13 pounds people began to mention it.  That is great.  Keep up the great work!

omgod!!! thats great, its funny because thats how i felt.. I always tried dieting but it never worked!!!! trust me I know what u mean....take care and keep up the good work.....Babydoll

I noticed my diet was working when my waist size dropped 2 inches. I was SO excited!

Congrats!

How much have you lost?
Maybe its sexy shopping time? heehee ;)

I always notice when I've lost weight on my face, always loose there first and then about a week later then it will show on the body.

Well well done!

Whats the diet????

A diabetic diet that is low on carbs works wonderfully.  I have been on one since June of 07 and have lost 40 pounds.  It feels fabulous.  I have dropped from a size 22 to a ( I bought this Saturday) size 14!  Mostly I am comfortaqble in a 16, but Biggest Loser says to buy a little tight and make that awesome outfit a goal outfit.  I have done that along the way with each dress size and it has been a blast.  I exercise an hour a day with weights-8# and on the Nordic Track Elipitical.  I do it all while watching TV and before you know it you have an hour in and it has been fairly easy.  One of the most happy things I have had said to me was when I went to the doctor in August and he listened to my heart and said, "you have a heart of a marathon runner"!  The good thing about that is that just two years prior I had been told I have a leaky mitral/atrial valve and a heart murmur.  SO see girls, it really does work.  Good luck, and if you need support to stay on tryck stay on this site. Encourage friends to get going with you.  Add variety in your exercise.  Have fun with it and watch those pounds melt away.

Best Wishes,

Pam ..... Nursepm2000@yahoo.com

I hate the word "diet".. diets don't work, and set you up for failure, why not stick with healthy eating and exercising instead of a miraculous "diet"??!!

With that said, Congrats to everyone on their noticing weight loss!!Laughing

You are right, "diets" do set you up for failure unless you make a permanent change.  When you go on your "diet" hopefully, you learn new eating habits and see how they are changing your life for the positive and will keep them for a lifetime.  Dieting is a structured way of teaching us what works for us.  Bottom line is this, less food, more activity.  Godd luck to all.

Pam

Congratulations!  I've been losing too... and only place I've noticed that I've lost weight is my wrists!  My watch is now twirling on my hands...  no one else has noticed...  but I've got a lot to loose yet...   and don' t think the 20 lbs I've lost shows since I look pregnant with the weight...

I've just been eating more healthy and doing the WII Fit for about an hour everyday.   That said, I have to head to it now...it's calling my name.
