What a difference a day makes - a thank you to people who responded to my post and soothed my frustration yesterday.

So yeah, it's going to take a long long long long long long long long LONG time for me to lose this damned weight because I have so much to lose... and yesterday I was just so distraught over it because I just don't like looking at me.

Then, today, I had to pick up a pair of tights because I needed to change into a skirt this afternoon, and had no tights without runners around.  The last time I picked up a pair of tights was a couple of months ago, just before I changed my lifestyle and decided to address my food/weight issues.  Queen Plus black tights were mighty *tight* tights.  The legs wouldn't come all the way up without some serious pulling, and my gigantic butt and tummy kept trying to make a break for freedom.  The tights rolled at the elastic in the waist, and kept rolling their way down.  I had to stop every block (MINIMUM), and try to unroll them so I wouldn't end up with them around my knees.  Very embarrassing.  That was then.  And happened everytime I had to wear hose.

Today, there were no Queen Plus tights.  I decided to just go ahead and buy the Queen size, figuring I've lost a few sizes here, so I'd just have to play the same game of "try to keep the tights on" with this size lower.  It says 150-200 pounds, and I'm fairly sure I'm over 200 pounds, but HOLY CRAP.  They fit.  The legs were no problem pulling up to the full length of my legs (and I have long legs - they may be fat, but they're long), and though my butt and tummy definitely are pushing the limit on how much I can cram into the butt and tummy area, they STAYED UP ALL DAY without making a break for freedom.

Now, I hope to see a day when Queen size hose are way too big and I marvel that I ever had to wear them, but I have to say I feel AWFULLY good today.  Changing a size in pantyhose is a pretty big change.  Clothing sizes are always inconsistent, but hose is hose is hose is hose.  And Queen Plus were too tight once, and Queens (no plus) fit now.  So yeah, I'm still way too fat, but yay.  YAY.  Thanks to everybody who got me through yesterday.

Smile It's small victories that keep you sane....   Scales are only one measure of success.   Keep looking out for other little improvements as you go along and you'll always feel like you're making progress.   Keep smiling

You go girlie!!!

I know how ya feel with the pantyhose thing.  Once again, i thought i was the only one who had to deal with the "rolling of the hose"... anyway

CONGRATS!!!!!

Just remember...your one step closer to your goal!?!

it really is amazing the difference a day makes..

Dont Give up!!! You WILL get there..

That's wonderful to hear.  It's amazing how one little thing like that can change a person's perspective.

I admit fully that I am overweight and it get's me down, but to look back at what I was is always positive motivation to keep going and lift my spirits.   Sometimes it's just hard to look at a bad situation and see that you are doing good things to correct it.  Glad this only took a day.

WOOHOO! Congrats! I bet you had a smile no one could eraseWink

I just want to tell you that I've had a horrible day, and was feeling about ready to cry, but your description of the pantyhose battle was just so funny that I am sitting here laughing instead,  So thanks, and congrats on the weight loss!

Aweomse Awesome Awesome!

it's little victories like those that kept me going.  You'll reach another one in NO time!  WAY TO GO~
