honestly? there is no number to shoot for. as long as you stay within your caloric range for the day, it doesn't matter if you ate all your cals for breakfast, dinner, or if you evenly spaced them out during the day. for your metabolism it's better to space them out during the day, but it's not going to help or hurt your weightloss in anyway if you have a bigger dinner, as long as you don't go over your cals and if you do, you excercise it off.

and unless you ate about 4 chicken breasts and 2 lbs of potatoes, i doubt that your dinner was a whole 800 calories.. unless you slathered your chicken in high-fat BBQ sauce and smothered your potatoes in butter.

Is it grilled chicken or crispy(fried)?

are you eating the whole bird?

Normally for me - a frozen breast - pan grilled is like 170 cals... (for seasonings I use Mrs Dash original - 0 cals and no sodium! and it has great flavor)

what are you doing to the potatoes - deep frying?

give us some specs on how you're preparing the food - and what portion sizes you're serving yourself.

sorry actually was just eating it.........ummm they are boneless skinlless tenders saying roughly 100 cals per 4 oz or almost 1 piece......adn augratin potatos at 750 cals per box prepared which we split and i had 4 tenders, and they were actually pretty small

Its the potatoes that seem to have gotten you. What I do now is have my chicken breast be 1/4 of the plate. Potatoes or any major carb 1/4and veggies 2/4. That way you can eat and eat veggies...and get full without soo many calories that eating a lot of carbs will give you.

Tenders are not 4 oz per tender. 4 oz is about 1/2 of a chicken breast.
