When I want something chocolate-like I have a Quaker Lowfat or Low Sugar Chewy Granola Bar in chocolate chunk, chocolate chip or choc peanut butter flavors (90-100 calories) and a cup of coffee with skim milk and Splenda.  That usually does the trick for me.

Also, I bought this fabulous little gadget online, a "cappucino creamer" (made by a company called Frabosk) so I can make delicious cappucinos with a little skim milk for only 27 calories.  It makes skim milk into a rich foam as thick as whipped cream!  I put a Splenda in it and sprinkle cinnamon on top and it is delicious!

Hi all - My first post.  I have lost over 70 pounds since last May through healthy eating and exercise.  What I do in place of dessert is drink a hot cup of whichever tea I feel like with artifical sweetener and small, pretty plate with about 5 dates on it.  I put my tea and dates on something pretty so I feel like I'm having dessert and I've become pretty much set in this habit for a while now.  Hope this helps.
i tryed this the other day, it was pretty good: decently low in calories too, i guess dieters can try this:

take a can of peachs ( little snack tin, in extra light syrup) then take a handful of granola, probably like 1/4 cup, you can use low fat, etc.

then put some cinnamon and spices with the peachs, and put them in a custard cuip, cover it with granola.

bake or microwave this until its bubbly. it made a decent mock peach cobbler.
a banana wirth some skim milk in a blender and a little ice is soo delicious and filling, too! if you want to go crazy and can afford the extra calories add some all-natural peanut butter and/or a type of chocolate syrup or powder (i.e, nesquik).. it takes great! and if you don't add too much pb or chocolate it's not that bad!
I love having a sweet after dinner, it gets to be a real habit.  I'm now trying to just have a small glass of sweet Sherry and it's so sweet and goes down so well that it does the trick.  These few 50 calories (I think??) really hit the spot.
I love the Weight Watcher Oreo chocolate/vanialla bars..They are great..Each one is two points..well worth it..and it will help those craving.  They also have WW deserts that range anywhere from 1-3 points..Try them..they are all really good..

okay seriously, I understand your aversion to sf jello snacks, but hang with me.....its really just a filler

Mix one four serving box of SF Vanilla Jello pudding with one cup of COLD Skim milk and one cup of COLD Soy milk

Then add one can of pumpkin, and mix.  Add 5 packets of splenda, a few dashes of pumpkin pie spice (or just plain cinnamon), stir, and to finish add 1 tsp of vanilla extract.

Viola!  Pumpkin Pie Pudding!  throw in some granola or graham if you want "crust".  I like it both hot and cold.

This makes multiple servings, which I refridgerate for up to 5 days.

Another thing I am OBSESSED with is the Quaker Mini Delight 90 calorie snack packs in chocolate drizzle and cinnamon struessel.  They are AWESOME.  Buy them NOW.
I'll stand by my Diet IBC with a scoop of vanilla Tofutti (or any vanilla ice cream!) It's sweet, filling, and SOOO good! :)
the new chocolate special k cereal is really good.  just 3/4 cup with skim milke is roughly 120 cal.
if you like bananas, this is to DIE FOR!!  I made it for my hubby and i for vday ... it went over amazingly.  and i actually think it's good for him 'cause he doesn't eat much fruit.  btw, i found this on the hungry girl website.  oh, i didn't add any salt (don't really like salt in my deserts) and it turned out fantastic!

Sweet Fried Bananas with Cream Cheese Frosting

(Entire recipe: 200 calories, 1g fat, 160mg sodium, 52g carbs, 11g fiber, 19g sugars, 5g protein = 3 Points)

These are so good, you may actually cry when you bite into one!

Ingredients:
1 large banana
1/4 cup Fiber One cereal
1/8 tsp. cinnamon
pinch of salt
2 tbsp. SPLENDA, Granular
3 tbsp. Cool Whip Free
1 tbsp. fat-free cream cheese; softened

Directions:
To create the cream cheese frosting, stir to combine cream cheese, Cool Whip and 1 tbsp. Splenda until smooth. Refrigerate. In a food processor or blender, combine Fiber One cereal, cinnamon, salt and 1 tbsp. Splenda, and blend until a breadcrumb-like consistency is achieved. Cut banana in half widthwise and then lengthwise (so you have 4 pieces). Spray banana pieces (both sides) with nonstick cooking spray. Roll banana pieces in the breadcrumb mixture, making sure to cover them entirely. Place bananas in a pan sprayed with nonstick spray, and cook at medium heat for approximately two and a half minutes per side, or until crispy. Serve with chilled cream cheese frosting.

I found a great mango sorbet that I have if I want something yummy along the frozen line.

Otherwise I do fresh fruit a lot.  Also make my own crepes and fill with fruit and maybe a tiny bit of chocolate sauce.

I also do a microwave apple crumble - 1 cup of chopped apple with a few raisins tossed into a microwavable bowl.  Over the top - 1/4 cup oatmeal and a few dashes of cinamon. You can also add a bit of chopped walnut if you have room in your calories for the day.
For anyone who loves desserts as much as I do, please purchase my cookbook THE DE-LITE-FUL WAY TO HEALTHY COOKING.  The dessert section contains almost 50 low carb desserts.  Just a few contain sugar free pudding or jello.  Other than that, I don't use artificial sweetners.  I just use a small amount of sugar.  Please check out my web site:  www.healthyeatingcookbooks.com if interested in what I have to offer.

i've been cubing up apples and then steaming them with some cinnamon.  if you want use a bit add a bit of sugar or sugar subsitute, butter or butter subsitute, warm a tortilla and wrap it up.  its really nummy.

My new favorite treat for when I have a few calories to spare after dinner is Edy's Caramel delight slow churned ice cream, topped with Blue Diamond 100 cal whole natural almonds.  I just ate it and it was oh so sinful tasting! (the ice cream is 120 cal per 1/2 cup 3.5 grams of fat) The nuts have 9g of fat so I only add them if I didn't have a lot of fat earlier.

Something really simple I tried today after a serious PB&J craving, split a banana, fill it with a bit of peanut butter (I used a teaspoon but I only had the regular non-diety kind) microwave for about 30 secs, add a bit of jam (same goes with that) and yummm. The banana tasted different when u microwave it :)
