Dirty little secrets: what one really horrible junk food can't you live without?

Quote  |  Reply
Ok, not THAT dirty, but still.
If you're on this site you're most likely looking to get healthier, thinner, prettier, whatever. In general, though, no more "bad food" for us, right?

But dang, people, I know we can't live without just one really horrible junk food that we eat instead of lunch. you know, that one food that you know is horrid and bad but you still love it to death and will never stop eating it?

So cover your screen and giggle to yourself and tell me,
what's your dirty little secret?

Mine are...
Fudge swirl "Cheese" Cake
and Chocolate Chip cookies.

Don't tell on me! :D

Tostitos con queso dip.

I make it manageable by using it as a topper for steamed broccoli, but truth be told, I could eat the whole damn jar with a spoon.

mmmmmm  chemical deliciousness....
oreos with cream cheese cake icing
Probably ice cream or milk shake - I don't have very often but would love to have everyday.
plain tortilla chips or pretzels.
And of course I could eat a million cookies but the worst of all..

doughnuts.

Yes. Those greasy things... :/
donuts (or doughnuts if you prefer, i'm not picky).  i ADORE them.  i try to work them in every week because i know i'm not strong enough to avoid it.

oh, and nutella.  love that too....crepes with strawberries and nutella?  i'm there!

yumm...
I've tried to think of something I still eat that's horrible for me and I can't live without but I just can't.  My guilty pleasures before my new lifestyle change were fried goodies and creamy, gooey anythings.  The great thing about losing weight as me is I'm not a picky eater and like almost everything....'cept peas.  =)
chili cheese fries
Mud Pie Blizzard from Dairy Queen...I had two last week
calorie laden alcoho, of any kind but especially cider. On a plus point loads of calories but at least it's fat free!!!
chocolate - I'm never giving it up.

And when the mood strikes me - Peanut Butter.
those Little Debbie or Vachon cake type things... i know you can get them in 100 calorie packs...but they don't taste as good... on the plus side they come in packs of 2 and i only eat one...so i waste about 130 calories on them...but they are so good.
Any kind of frozen mocha drink.  I swear I'll die by them one day.
French fries - whenever I'm at a restaurant and the smell is just permeating through the air, I have to at least have a few.

and....Thin mints and Samoas Girl Scout cookies.....oh how I hate cookie season - but they're so good!
Ice cream is my dirty little secret, i have to have a scoop loaded with strawberries and lots of chocolate syrup!

I love to bake really decadent desserts, but somehow I never have the feeling I need to eat an abundance of those. I know these things are definitely not JUNK food, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE pretzels and either peanut or almond butter or chips and guacamole!
Sweets of all shapes and sizes.  I've been doing all I can to come up with healthy sweet alternatives because I cannot live without sweets.
chocolate spread!! ahh i love it but its so dangerous to have around, so i rarely do!
gorgonzoloa stuffed olives... they're probably the most fattening thing in the world, but i could eat a pound a day. lol.  mmmmmm...  :)
Chocolate cream pie or moose tracks ice cream.

Unlike mooo87, I make my own pies and cakes and can't get enough of them.
Saltines. There's no nutrition in them, really. They are merely a salt-delivery system. I crave them right before TTOM.

Hazlenut gelato. If it's on the menu, I must have it. I do practice portion control though. :-)

French fries. I am losing my taste for them. I rarely ever order them anymore, but if my hubby is having some, I am still apt to steal a couple.

Buffalo chicken tenders (the kind without bones). We have a favorite neighborhood pub we still frequent because everyone knows our name, and this is nearly the only sorta-safe thing on the menu. They are breaded and coated in buffalo sauce. I practice portion control, skip the fries and ask for green beans and a salad instead.
