so last night I went to this amazing dinner party, and despite this still stuck to my 1200-1400 calorie diet. I avoided the dessert buffet like the plague, and was actually quite proud of myself on my way home.
this morning I weigh myself, and am at 123.6. Last time I was at 121.7. I am so awfully disappointed, I feel I could've eaten a delicious piece of cake and should've done so when I had the chance.
any advice??
The best advice I can give from my experience is first not to be discouraged. It happens, it has happened to me quite frequently. I will stick to my diet which can include a steak portioned for dinner and the next day two pounds magically appear. It is not forever and in my opinion does not mean you did something wrong. Keep sticking to your diet and you will still get the results you desire.
Our weights easily fluctuate a few lbs a day. Everyone knows this. I know this but I still get bummed when a lb or two (or four) hits the scale out of nowhere.
Gotta learn to live with it. If you're doing the right things, you can't freak out about it.
What was the salt content of the food you did eat? Try to flush with lots of water over the next couple days, I'm sure its just retention! Keep up the great work, it will pay off!
