Doctors link man's illness to microwave popcorn

I'm probably posting this in the wrong forum, but I thought it was important enough to post it here for the widest possible audience:

This is scary. I only eat popcorn on occasion - less than once a week - but my daughter eats it nearly every single day. I always thought it was a healthy snack for her!!

I knew that I popped my own for a reason.
MAN MADE.. If it comes in a box or a BAG dont eat it!!! I like his rule.. another reason why!
I read that the other day and it was disturbing, but then the man ate several bags of microwave popcorn a day for years on end. Before I get upset I remember the time in the early 80's when they said milk causes cancer, also rats which ingest what added up to more carcinogens than I could put in my car got cancer as well...all things in moderation folks.
I'm a popcorn lover.  Thank goodness I airpop mine and don't have it that often anymore.

I think I'm afraid to read that article.  I heard a little on the news, but no details.

There goes the popcorn industry. (microwave)

They did a segement on this man on Good Morning America the other day and said that the major microwave popcorn makers have taken steps to take the chemical that causes "popcorn lung" out of the product and it will be on shelfs within the next few months.
