Who doesn't know what a Churro is?

Quote  |  Reply

As a resident of California, I am well aware of what a Churro is. However, I have recently learned that some people have never heard of them. Is this true? If so, where do you live? I imagine that those residing in England and the northern regions of America would not know what a churro is.

i'm in canada. i saw churros on a tv show once, so i know what they look like, but i've never seen them for sale here,  and have never had one.

Omg eerica, was it Even Stevens where you saw churros?!

I'm in canada. During the week of Obama's inauguration there were places that made beaver tails (aka elphant ears) and put a great big 'O' made of whipped cream on them and called them "obama tails'.

They plan on serving them in the crowd when the US President visits Ottawa tomorrow!

We'll be in Mexico next week, so I'll be sure to try a Churro (No, I didn't know what it was)

I'm in Canada too (Vancouver), and I don't remember a time when I DIDN"T know what a churro was. They serve them at canucks games...I always get one!

tealpenguin -

I live in south Texas, so I definately know what a churro is (though I wish I didn't, they are too good!).

But what I really wanted to say is - what a fun post!

Thanks!

I'm in Cali too, and they sell churros at the Costco in town.  It's like a buck fifty for an almost 2 foot churro!  Sadly, I have not had one in a long time, but my pants are getting too big for me, so I don't miss that kind of treat too much.

Northeasterner here. I grew up in NJ and moved to Philly a couple years ago. We do have churros! I think the last time I ate one was at a Rutgers (state university of NJ) football game this fall.

dude, i had never heard of a churro was but after looking at a picture that was posted i know now. like ever 7-11 i know sells them in their hot case here in virginia beach!

OF COURSE i know what a churro is haha, they were made in mexico :D!

Haha, when I first read the topic I said to myself "it's a burrito!"...I see I was wrong, not sure where I came up with that anyway - learn something new everyday!
