My dogs are "dog tired"

Quote  |  Reply
I took them out this morning for an hour and a half walk- then I brought them to work and gave them baths... now they are both sleeping on my bed.... I walked into my room and they looked up at me then lowered their heads and went back to sleep....poor things!  They better rest up cause I'm planning on taking them tomorrow for another 90 minutes. :)....

I weighed them while I was at work and they too need to lose a few pounds....

very cute!  they will soon love and look forward to those nice long walks.  that is great exercise for you and them.  good job!
My little 12lb dog would probably pass out and die if I dragged her for a 90 minute walk. Her little legs can only go so far :(
Oh man.  I wish my dog would get wore out.  You're very lucky!
Floyd is 88 pounds and Heidi is 70! Normally- Heidi is still raring to go but I think it was the bath that did her in. I only usually give them baths a few times a year.... (they are both short coated and keep pretty clean...)

And I can tell that in the month that I have been walking them consistently- that they have both lost a few pounds- so I cringe to think what they weighed before! They aren't that overweight but they can stand to lose maybe 5 pounds each...
They are both really cute!
Thanks :)- I figured out recently how to download photos...it's fun!

And I just looked at your profile! Talk about cute- Your dog is really cute!!! Aussie shep?
yep!  you're good!  she's either an aussie mix or one heck of an aussie mismark (she's mostly white).  we're not sure really what she'd be mixed with as she looks so aussie-ish.  she's still pretty cute now that she's all grown up.  i just love that puppy photo though.
My 25 lbs poodle (who passed her healthy weight 10 lbs ago) would walk about 10 minutes of that, then sit down and refuse to move till I turned around to go home. Or sometimes she'd sit and wait to be carried home. Damn I have a spoiled dog. lol!

Good luck getting those two out for another walk tomorrow. I'm sure they loved todays!
