I am currently going to the gym 5-6 days per week.  I work out for 50 minutes per session, running for 20 minutes and covering about 3.2 kilometres, biking for 20 minutes and covering 10 kilometres and either rowing for 10 mins and going 2 kilometres or eliptical for 10 mins.  I have not lost any weight and I am wondering if I need to up the exercise?

Thanks heaps in advance :)

Wow!  You are just full of energy, very nice!  You don't look like you need to lose any weight.  Maybe your body (which looks greatTongue out) is used to the physical activity.  How about prolonging one of your activities, say running do 40 minutes and not do the biking or rowing with.  I am not sure, but you should put some more pics up, looks real good.  Let me know how you are coming along.  Bruce

Maybe you are not eating enough or eating too many calories a day to lose weight? You may also want to try HIIT or some form of interval training. It really gets the metabolism going and the heart pumping. :) Good luck!

It sounds like all you're doing is cardio.  It's equally important, if not MORE important, to do weight training as well.  Muscle burns more calories then fat so it will help with the weight loss.

If you're already at a healthy weight, that may be just your body saying enough is enough.  If that's the case but you still want to improve the look of your body, weight training will help with that as well.  If what you want is a toned look, you won't get that no matter how much cardio you do.

Also, vida mentioned you might be eating too many calories to lose weight.  On the other hand, you might not be eating enough!  You're doing a LOT of exercise, and if you're not eating enough, your body isn't going to let go of anything - it'll be too scared of starving to death.  What's your daily calorie intake, on average?

I thank you all for your advise, I think perhaps I have probably been eating over my calorie requirments, I have only just started counting.  I enjoy doing cardio and find weight training very tedious, but from your advise I would benefit from weights I think :)

Def get some weights added to your program, but it might be time to change up your cardio slightly.  Sometime less is more.

At the moment you're running 10min miles. Try running your first mile in 9 mins, rest, then run your 2nd mile in 9mins.  The increased intensity will shock your body.

It's worth a try.

I am totally in the same boat, I was doing about 70 minutes of cardio at least 5 times a week with no results.  For the past 2 weeks I have  doing strength training and started supplements, so hopefully that will help the results.  I can tell the muscle is getting toner.  It's definately better to mix up the cardio a bit.  I am going to keep at it and try not to get frustrated.  I will let you know how if there are better results with my new workout additions.
