doing everything right yet........?
hi guys
ive been eating right (1500 cal) and exercising (400 cal) but my weight just goes up despite all my effort!
can someone please tell me waht's going on? i don t think its muscle weight cuz my exercise isnt strenuous
i just want to cry =(((
Is there any chance your calorie count is off?
Try carefully measuring and/or weighing everything you eat or drink. Log everything.
Also recalculate your burn meter setting your activity level at sedentary and adding only the precise amount of exercise you then do.
Good luck to you.
thanks~
hey guys, what do you think about lack of sleep?
i've got mid terms these weeks and im only able to sleep 3 hours everyday for almost a week now...can that be a factor?
how many hours should i get? will it be ok if i get 6 hours from maybe 1 AM to 7 AM?
well to start i would ask how old you are.
As a person ages they need less sleep.
You should be trying for 8 hours of sleep every night, 3 hours is certainly not enough. At a minimum you should get 6. it will effect your performance and recovery otherwise.
How much do you weigh and how tall are you? Male , female?
1500 calories is not a lot and if you are starving yourself your body will store fat.
Small portions thru the day is how you should be eating. 6 times a day...small meals.
hey ubiquitousfit
im 18, female, 5'4 and weighs 142 lbs now
im aiming for 6 hours aday now, because more than 7 hours is impossible here @@ =(
also i eat at school dining hall, i can only swipe my card 3 times a day and i try to eat normal during the day and only a light dinner
is 6 hours gonna make me normal again?
Well 6 hours is better than 3 hours and for some people 6 is enough, for some people it's not. Will you have a chance to get more sleep after your midterms are done? Can you skip your excercise one day this week and nap instead?
Other potential causes: Are you close to that time of the month? Are you eating higher sodium foods than you used to (maybe due to midterms stress)?
How long have you been eating 1500 calories, and how many did you eat before then?
hi guys
thank you for the reply! i will try to sleep 6 hours a day once my last test is over this thursday!
i think i might also have been counting my intake too low. i only get to log them after i eat so its very possible that i missed a few chocolate chips here and there
btw does anyone know how many calories is there in one single chocolate chip? (the big normal one, not the mini chips)
thanks!
One chocolate ship? Well a Hershey's kiss is about 25 calories, so one chocolate chip is probably only 4 or 5 cals. The mini chips would be even lower.

So you can log your weight -- which allows you to do the following:
- Plot your weight curve
- Analyze the trend of your weight (see under Recent in the figure above)
- Determine the projected target date (see under Overall in the figure above)
