Doing HIIT everyday to stay lean?
If I were to do HIIT everyday what would happen to my body? What if I had one day of rest? How many months does it take if I were to do 25 min hiit sessions 6 days a week with a healthy diet? Please tell me the fat will melt off!
Reason: Moved from Weight Loss to Fitness forum
I can't honestly say, because if you CAN do it six days a week for 25 minutes at a time you definitely aren't doing it right. The point is to sprint like someone is after you with a chainsaw for 30-60 seconds, which is why is why you can't do truly HIIT on a treadmill. Olympic athletes have trouble.
Also we'll need to see a sample of your diet, since healthy can mean a lot of things.
So far I have done it 6 days already and my body is taking a beating. But my mind is like do it anyway to see what happens. I am pushing myself so hard. I do it everyday to the point where it's like I am going to vomit and my body feels like it's on fire.
Basically I eat fruits veggies and soy protein 30g each serving in natural juice before and after the workout....
I don't eat anything with oils in it or anything fried or processed. I don't eat dairy at all I am allergice to it. I drink 3 liters of water a day. So would this actually melt the fat off of me?
This isn't a good idea. With sprinting, like weight training, your body needs time to recover. You're just wearing yourself down.
Your diet sounds pretty good, but what I meant was a day's menu, since with what you're doing it's extremely likely you aren't eating enough. (Side note: fats aren't bad, especially MUFA.)
Keep in mind that your body is taking a beating! With that kind of a work out you'd be better off doing it every other day rather than 6 days a week--that will probably wind up self-defeating if you don't have time to recover. Not to mention too much cardio usually winds up burning muscle mass, so you might see the numbers on the scale go down in a bad way.
I know exactly what feeling you're talking about, and it's addictive. But excess of anything can really hurt you.
you should search the forums. When I was researching interval training (including HIIT, which I'm just not ready for), I came across a forum where a guy actually said he gave himself a heart condition from doing hiit too frequently. You should also consult a doctor and a trainer. I think doing actual HIIT that frequently and for that length of time (I read most places that you should only be doing it for 15 minutes--maybe 20) could bring up some potential health problems.
You can do it daily, but its wasting of time.

It's at least a little better than hearing the people who talk about doing 90 minutes of cardio a day!
I am getting mixed messages here? So is it or is it not okay to do this kind of workout 5 days a week with a clean diet? I need to drop 30lbs in 2 months with hiit and a clean diet or else bleh....
Don't sprint 5 days a week. Lift weights 3 days a week, sprint maybe twice. If you do more cardio than that, make it less intense.
The largest amount of weight you can safely lose per week is 1-2 lbs if you are not obese. Sorry to say, there is no healthy way for you to lose 30 lbs in 2 months. You can surely lose 30 lbs, by eating fewer calories than you burn. Just not that fast.
There is a lot of advertising and media images that tout "fast weight loss" but it's just not possible for most people and not healthy in any case.

um why are you beating your body up???? no oils???? hiit everyday??? altho as littlecalypso said, you are not really doing hiit or gaining the benefits that you should if you are able to do it for 25 minutes everyday.

It's really hiit because I am sore when I do it and I feel worn down afterwards. Just 10 mins into it and I am like I don't want to do this anymore but I push myself anyways just because I want the fat to go away. After the feeling of exhaustion my energy levels are up and I am sweating all day.
Will I lose weight if I eat the same food over and over?
You can lose weight despite eating the same food day-after-day as long as you eat fewer calories than you burn. In fact, eating the... Read more
