Doing p90x as a vegetarian?

Quote  |  Reply

Has anyone done p90x and successfully stuck to the meal plan as a vegetarian? I'm still on my first week of the program but I'm already saying nuts to the diet part of it. There's just no way I can get a ratio of 50/30/20. Short of just eating a block of tofu to meet the 5 servings of protein I need for the plan, I'm not sure what else to do. It's also hard to eat just 2 serving of veggies as the plan requires since I mostly eat nothing but vegetables. So I'm thinking of adding more protein than I usually eat but not forcing myself to get the 5 servings. But I will stick to the 2 servings of veggies and 1 carb for the day. I hope that's enough to help me lose some weight.

If you've been able to do it please share your stragety!

There is nothing magical about any particular macronutrient ratio.  But if you need to increase your protein then protein powder is an easy and fairly inexpensive way to do it.
