Personally I like a mixture of machines. Keeps from getting too bored with one.

As far as getting  tired you will eventually get used to it.

getting tired is normal and bored sometimes goes w/ it. My experience has been you have to pass the point where you normaly get tired and stop. I could never pass 10 minutes and one day I was next to this guy that talked alot and I did not even realized it but was up to 15 minutes. Push yourself beyond that point a bit, just enough to get you over the hump. It has worked for me.

i have the same problem on the elliptical. i've only started it so i can only be on for 5 mins at a time. ^_^ still working on passing that hump.

When I first started the elliptical, I could literally only do 4 or 5 minutes and my thighs were on fire. I kept at it, kept at it a couple days a week. I would go to ten minutes, take a little break, stretch, then get back on for another ten. Eventually I skipped the break all together and now I could probably go for an hour if I wanted to! Of course, I only go about 30 minutes a day but I go on pretty hard resistance! If I get bored with my routine, I'll put on the 'random' program and it keeps me guessing.

One thing to remember if you are getting tired too soon is to start out slow. I usually warm up for about 5 minutes before I really start to get the blood pumping. Also make sure you stretch before and after your workout!

Good luck to you!
