how am i doing now? am i on the right track?

this is the first time for me to start exercising. the exercise that i choose is yoga by sadie nardin.

the duration of this yoga is 45min to 60 minutes. most of the poses i think is the sun salutation. i try to do the yoga every day, or at least maintain 3-4 times a week.

i also add the exercise with swimming, but i do it when i have the time. so it's not regular.

for my eating, i already take non fried food, now i focus on veggies and fruits, take mineral as the priority, lemon water, then green tea. i dont take sodas or their kinds anymore. i lessen my sugar and salt take.

i still take black coffee but with no sugar.

how am i doing? okay?

i make a bet with my brother to loose 10kgs till this end of year. will i make it with my routines?

First of all, 10kg is probably not doable by the end of the year. To do it safely and so you don't regain it all, you'll probably need more like 3.5 to 4 months to reach that goal.

Second, yoga is wonderful training for strength and flexibility. To lose weight you also need aerobic activity -- running or walking (3-4 times a week 40 min. or so)

Third, your food choices are healthy but losing weight also means you have to watch portions and calories.

If you can let us know your current age/weight/height then we can give you some idea of the amount of calories you should eat each day to safely lose weight and meet your goal.

hiihihi... ok ok... basically, all i want is just loose some weight and reach to my ideal weight. bet with my brother just for having fun.. i read about it that diet and loose some weight needs to be done with a fun. he's quite competitive, so he makes me more excited to weight some loss..

Yes, please help me manage the portion and calories.

basically, i choose yoga because i could handle aerobic for more than 5 min in treadmill, i have arrhythmia... that is one reason i try yoga.. and some days i swim also, but because my lecturers' schedule is kind of messed up this semester, i rarely keep swimming as my routine, as i usually finish my class at 6.30 at night and the swimming pool close at 8, and it kind a far from my univ.

please suggest my exercise too with my heart condition aside from yoga....

Oya, my height is 155cm; my current weight is 58kg and my current age is 24.

thank you, and nice to know you

regards,

knthee

So you are classed at a healthy weight already. This means you do not need to lose any weight.

Now your current goal will still keep you in a healthy weight range, but you should your doctor first before starting any new fitness routine or changing your food intake.

Your heart condition may or may not be any concern, but only your doctor can assess what will be doable for you.

As for portion and calories, the tools on this site are the best way to figure out what might be a good calorie target for you each day. But as I said, before you start you need to discuss what you plan to do with your doctor.

Best of luck!
