What am I doing wrong?

Quote  |  Reply

Hi! I am 36 years old and 5ft 1in and weight 142lbs.  I have been eating on average 1400 calories a day .  I have a large frame.  I am a waitress and am standing and walking on my job for about 5 hours a day 5 days/week.  I want to lose around 20 lbs.   Am I eating too many calories?  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I looked up your stats on www.phord.com/cc

For your type of job, i tried light and moderately active. Depending on how hard you work, i think you would be moderately active. Any way here is what i found.

Moderately Active
Burn: 1 975
Eat: 1475
Lose: 1lb per week

Lightly Active
Burn: 1835
Eat: 1335
Lose: 1lb per week

So your definately on the right track. You may even be able to up your calories by 75 Laughing

By the way, here is sedentary if you have the weekend off work/exercise:

Sedentary
Burn: 1530
Eat: 1275
Lose: 0.51lb a week

Hope this helps and your on the way to your weight loss goals :)
