Weight Loss

Like some of you, I don't have tons of weight to lose, just about 15lbs to put me where I want to be and in the lower-to-middle section of my healthy weight bracket. I have been tracking calories and working out consistently since March 6. Every now and then I cheat a little bit, but I pretty much get right back on trac (so, yes, I've had two or three 2500 calorie days in the past month, but the rest have all been between 1100 and 1400). I lost about 4 pounds in the first two weeks, and in the past week they've all come back. I'm 135 and would like to get down to 115-120, but I am so discouraged right now! Why did the scale move back up if I've been keeping with it? How do I get it to move down for good? Thanks for your help.

hmmm...I'd say measure yourself. if you're working out consistently, you may have built some muscle, which would account for the gain.
the other thing to check is your daily sodium intake. if it's high, you may just be retaining water. in that case, you'd want to increase your water intake to counteract the salt.

Just wondering, how tall are you? I'm about in the same boat, I went back and forth for a long time. I'm finally consistently dropping everyday but its from not eating, which I don't recommend.
Sarah - are you eating enough? I stopped losing, and even started to gain back lost weight when my calories dropped too low too many days out of the week.
If that's not it - how confident are you on your portion sizes? Are you using a food scale? Measuring them out? I'm not very good at eye-balling it.
kylann - I'm sure I don't need to tell you how dangerous that is. Please take care of yourself.

Cheatingirl, you may be right about portion sizes...I'm going to try to do a better job measuring and estimate up instead of down. I worry about upping my calorie intake because I might go overboard (which I guess happens somtimes anyway).
Kylann, I'm about 5'3" ish. I'm not exactly sure; it changes based on how I feel every day :-P And, yes, you need to be eating more. You must be feeling awfully tired, not to mention your body is not happy right now.
I may try measuring myself; I usually tend to go by how my clothes feel, but of course it would be nice to see that scale move some. My body seems really comfy at 135ish and I am NOT comfy there!!
Thanks for the help guys :) I'm going to try to make today an extra good day.
