snack-1 SINGLE serve bag of orville redenbacker 94 percent fat free popcorn

dinner-1  can slim fast and some watermellon

then i got home and i walked a mile and a half

First id go online (bodybuilding.com)  figure out your BRM (i think thats what it is) basicly tells you how many calories your body burns without extra activity (like your walk) get that number, and really count calories for a good week at least and see if you are under/at/over that number and by how much.  Just shave off like 200 calories from that BRM number and you should see some progress if you are just trying to loose weight.
I suspect that you're not eating enough for your body to be willing to release any of it's fat stores.

1. Go to the tools section, find out your allowance and the recommendation for how many calories to reach your goal weight.

2. Log everything you're eating.

3. make sure you're eating at least 1200 calories...at your weight, you might need more.

4. Log all your exercise.

Ideally, you want a difference of 500-1000 calories per day.  So if your basic rate is 1800 and you exercise for another 500, then you'll be around 2200 calories for the day (doesn't quite add up since you don't get the basic calories for the exercise time).
honestly that doesn't seem like that much food to me.  i would think you would (with the exercise too) lose some weight on that amount of food.  just a suggestion, maybe go to the doctor and have them run some tests, such as thyroid, maybe it's due to medication or birth control.  to me, it just doesn't seem like you are overeating, or even undereating, (forcing the body to store fat).  i dunno know, try doing those tests and maybe do an experiment with the food/calories/time of the month/and exercise, and then do it all again for another month.  see what happens.  good luck!  please keep posting and let us know what you find out.  :)
thx for the info...i started recording my calories and today before dinner i was right at 1200.. so i should be about 1400 -1500 calories.. i did the tool that tells me how many calories i should be eating at it say 2300 a day.. i am wayyyy under that... is 1400-1500 too little??????

i think the dr checked my thyroid as part as the "well woman" check up a few months ago.. i never heard anything so i assume all was fine...but i am planning on making an appt in the near future to discuss...

thx again...
The BMR is by definition how many calories per day you need to survive if all you did all day was lie in bed like a coma patient.  It doesnt even account for digestion.

Do not use BMR.  Use the normal calorie expenditure calculated on this site.

[My BMR is 1336 or something.  If I shaved off 200 Cals from that Id be in "starvation mode."]

1400-1500 could be too little.  A good level to eat at can be the calculated normal calorie expenditure for someone of your activity level and stats but at your goal weight or the high end of the BMI index.
