Domino's Fudgems - More Free Junk Food

Quote  |  Reply

Who here has seen the new commercial for "Fudgems"?  basicly Domino's is now giving away free chocolate brownies with hot fudge dipping sauce with any order of a large pizza...is it me or is dominos (not to mention any other "restaruant") throwing out more and more junk to the public? I mean pizza is bad enough but throw in brownies and hot fudge!?! Do they want us to all become diabetic and grossly overweight??

I think they just want to make more money, in the short run by getting people to order for the free Fudgems and in long run by increasing add on sales to their pizzas.

I really think the food industry would prefer us all to be healthy, hungry calorie burning machines.
*sigh*

I am so glad I don't live in the US...it would make being healthy so much harder -

Fudgems?  That is the most ridiculous thing...so now kids will see this and freak out, beg and beg for them...so not only are they getting absolute grease trap of a dinner, but sugar laden dessert - I mean...that just disgusts me!!!
ohemgee...

am I the only person who drools when I watch this commercial? lol
The worst thing is they sound so good...
No lofflytime..your not!  IM GUILTY!!!  I seen it yesterday and they look so yummy, but not in the plan!  :(  Not low calorie I can assure you!  They wouldnt even qualify as my cheat food...to much sugar!
Geez, I saw that commercial last night at 3:00 am after I had eaten all my calories and was a bit hungry.

The CRAVINGS that commercial woke up!  I thought I was going to die.......!  They looked so good!

Why can't healthy fudge-driped bwonies exist!!!!!  *weeps*
We ordered pizza Saturday night and the fudgeums came free.  I decided to splurge and have once since I hadn't had all of my daily calories.  They were by far the worst brownies I've ever had.  You guys really aren't missing out on anything.
Haha well thats good to hear!
Mmmm pizza and brownies.

Hey, I say eat em.  We all need to treat ourselves sometimes ;)

But uhh yeah...they'll give brownies away for free, but you'd probably have to kidnap family members in order to get them to make a salad and give that away!
Actually, dominos does salads (I think, or a couple of the other pizza chains).

I hear ya on the nasty brownies. I tried a bite the other night...nasty! I make better HEALTHY brownies at home (though I would rather cheat on ice cream).
ARGH! I just got a stupid advertisement for those cursed brownies in my mailbox. I think Domino's purposely hunts down the calorie-counters, just to spite our healthy decisions. :P

I'm glad they're nasty.
They make salad?  Hmm...guess I never looked.  Too busy eating cheesey bread and pizza :-D
The brownies are gross.  Seriously. I had one last week.

Dry, dry, dry.  No warm gooeyness. Virtually hollow inside. Not even recognizable as a brownie.

If you really want a brownie, eat a good one.  These are a waste of calories.
Try NO-PUDGE brand! (www.nopudge.com). It's the only fat free brownie mix on the market, and all you need to make it is the mix and fat free yogurt. I made some last night, single-serving microwave style, and it was ok (they're much better baked)... But I think what will REALLY make it fabulous will be if I use fat free chocolate pudding in lieu of the yogurt. Then it'll be even chocolatier but still low cal/low fat. ;-)

Has anyone around here tried the no pudge stuff with diet coke? I wanted to but was afraid that it wouldn't work with my already non-fat brownie mix.

Ehhh, I would go on easy on the No Pudge Brownie mix, as its rated F!!! It has tons of sugar to replace the fat and it doesn't even taste that great. The ice cream bars by No Pudge are amazing though and get As/Bs on this site.
