Yummy, and healthy version of donair meat. Serve in a pita with chopped tomatos, onion, lettuce, and a dilly yogourt sauce.

Recipe Ingredients for Donair meat

1/2 pound lean pork, ground
1/2 pound extra lean ground beef
1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs
2 tsp parsley flakes
1 ml garlic powder
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/16 tsp cayenne pepper

Recipe Directions for Donair meat

  1. Process all ingrediants in a food processor for about 1 minute until pork and beef are finely ground.

  2. Shape into a long roll, about 11 inches long. Place on a greased wire rack, on top of a baking dish. Cover top with foil.

  3. Bake at 275 degrees F for about 3 hours... until firm and no longer pink inside.

  4. Remove from oven, wrap in foil and let sit for 15 minutes. Cut into 1/4 inch slices and serve with pita and vegetables. :)
