Have you done the Weight Watchers Flex Point Program?

Quote  |  Reply
I did WW in January and lost 10 pounds. I loved the Flex Program, (it taught me to eat more fiber rich foods and drink water) but I had a hard time sticking to it after a few months. I honesty find it easier to count calories than points. Anyone else?

I never could get into the point system with WW. counting calories is much easier for me.
I liked my points! However I needed the meetings to keep me going... the comunity... that support and with WW is was so darn expencive. This just as easy and the support here is awsome AND its free...nothing better
I was also a successful Weight-Watchers flex point user.  I find
that Calorie-Count is just as efficient, with the same supportive group
(forums) and no money involved.  Welcome, I think that you will
like it here.
I've done it...I lost weight on it...but I think it's just a substitute for just learning the caloric and nutritional value of foods...this way I like to check my analysis several times daily and it really helps keep me on track...I've lost more weight with counting cals and feel much more knowledgeable and in control of my eating through calorie counting.
I just didn't feel supported when I was going to WW.  The only meeting I could get to was on a worknight.  I'd rush over there, stand in line for 45 minutes to get weighed and by then the lecture had started and I'd miss most of it.  The group was so large I didn't get to know a single person in 6 months.  I never had a private discussion with the instructor in all that time.  So what was I paying for?  A booklet and a weekly weigh in?

Thank you calorie count where friends are around 24/7 if you get stuck or need a little boost or some advice.  And it's free.
I actually did count points, even though I'd never actually gone to a meeting- my aunt went for awhile and they gave her the booklet with the points and she photocopied it for me... I actually did it sucessfully for about 3-4months, lost about 15 lbs but then xmas rolled around and I stopped. I gained back all the weight and then some.

In the long run its probably better to count calories because you actually LEARN about what's going in your mouth.
I am a lifetime WW member and in my 4th year. I lost 20 lbs and have only gained back 5 of those pounds, however I am not as religious as I used to be as far as counting my points.  I use the fast tracking instead of writing down what I eat.  I am 39 (40 in a few weeks) and swear to get back to the meetings.  I do believe they help tremendously.  But if you count your points and convert them to calories it pretty much works out to 1500ish calories a day if you are on the 20 points.  I just find it easier to do the math with lower numbers therefore counting points!!!! tee hee hee  I wish you all luck and I hope to get back to the meetings soon!
