What do you do when you don't feel well?
Emotionally/mentally, not physically.
I read and drink tea and listen to music and try to sleep while avoiding crying, because once I start crying I can't really stop until I'm drained. It's fairly effective, how about you guys?
I usually eat whether it's emotionally/mentally or physically (though I seem to be losing my appetite when I get depressed more recently).
I also like to sleep.
I find the latter is much more effective than the former as the former just adds to the misery >.<.
Sleep, hot bath, chocolate (Oh, did that slip out. I meant to say carrot sticks.), a funny movie, and a long hug or cuddle from the husband unless he's the reason I'm upset.
I get pissy and swear a lot.
Swearing is against the rules. So my family sends me to time-out.
I like time-out. But they haven't figured this out yet.
I normally want to be by myself. So - I like to sit outside or either drive around in my car with the music REALLY loud.
i think, think, think, think, then i'll cry from all the thinking.. i get on the internet.. look up joke sites.. i sleep, color with my daughter, I blog/journal.. and i listen to music.
I second "wannabe_thinagain."
I can circle around my town for hours. Driving is really relaxing for me, but if I lived in the city, I might not feel the same way.
two words.....
online shopping....
buying unnecessary stuff makes me feel so much better!
Ditto! Online shopping is so much better than irl shopping! It's all the clothes and accessories without the unflattering lights and mirrors in the dressing rooms!
exactly!
I just bought 3 goal outfits to fit into. I was feeling down, so i made myself excited about losing weight. And they werent cheap, and i rarely spend money on something that doesnt benefit me right now, so i know for sure i will be taking my butt to the gym :) It's way more fun buying skinny people clothes. lol.
Retail therapy is highly effective.
I want to be by myself and just let it all out. Once my eyes clear I pamper myself, facial, do my nails etc.

Oh yes. How could I have forgotten? xD
I do anything and everything I can to distract myself. That might mean shopping, although I'm trying to cut back on that. So I'll spend extra time at the gym, maybe bake or cook (things I don't normally do much of), read, watch movies, play computer games, play piano, etc. It doesn't really help that much though, lol.
Bubble baths with a good book or new magazine. Take one of the dogs on a long walk. Take a nap. Work on a scrapbook page or make some cards. Play some feel-good poppy-punk type music.
I wish I wasn't at work so I could go do some of this stuff now...

Definitely!
Also, Xanax. Lots of Xanax.
i tend to withdraw from others, i eat, put in a movie and go to sleep, write in my journal (that's helps a ton), i sit or lay down and just reflect, listen to music, internet surf, read a book, just spend alot of me time basically
I usually get a hug and kiss from my wondeful bf, then I grab my kitty and curl up with a book for a good read n' snuggle.
This works for all forms of feeling crappy (sick, annoyed, sad, stressedd, worried)
The exception is anger, if I am really pee'd off I clean (and I mean clean like a maniac!)
Sometimes it's OK totext in a restaurant.
