I went from 145 to 165 pounds in two months. It all started with some personal problems, cravings for sweets and holiday season.

I am back to the gym and cc but I am ashamed and just can't believe what I did to myself. please help me to deal with this situation because I feel very down.

just know its never too late to change, &you can always get rid of those pounds. what led you to the binging? did you suffer from an ed
What motivated me in the first place to lose weight is the HOPE that I can get a new job in 2008. I wanted to look good and confident. I had many interviews in 2007 and I just give up. why should I starve myself and don't eat what I enjoy if I am going to stuck in the same place for ever.
I don't think that there is anyone on this site that has achieved perfection or can "do it all by themselves".  Don't be so hard on your self.   You are  back at the gym, back on track  congratulate youself for that,  I do.   One thing  for sure, change is inevitable.   Keep looking for that better job.  Keep talking to friends about it and keep the networking going.   Good luck.  You are "real" just like the rest of us.
thanks, Pudpie. I appreciate it.:)
Keep in mind that looking good and feeling confident is its own reward.  Your state of mind is priceless.  I weigh 365 and feel like a million bucks.  You could easily look at me and think does she not know what she weighs but having lost 100 is so empowering.  Ive been overweight, weighing much less and felt horrible as I gained.

Dont starve yourself - what a punishing way to try to lose weight.  Dont completely deny yourself either.  Incorporate things you enjoy but dont abandon yourself in it so you give up on feeling great.  If you disliked your diet, move onto another that you can live with.

But think about the limitations satisfaction from food can give you - after you've swallowed it, you have to keep on indulging.  Its got to be the most temporary enjoyment you can pursue.  Forgive yourself - its a long life and theyre going to be slip ups but look where you are - here, questioning yourself but not abandoning ship.  If you felt better at 145 dont forget that weight is right up the road - just stick to the plan and it not just for a new job but for your happy state of mind.
Get back on board.  Look at this as a fresh start to acheive your goal.  Remember not to punish yourself- just get back on track.  We all have bad times but we get back to business and serious as soon as we realize it.  This is the only way to reach your goals.
i tend to find that 'extra' pounds that have been recently gained seem to shift quicker than long term excess weight. Im sure hitting the gym hard and dieting will be a shock your body after 2 months of pigging out and chilling out, and therefore you should see a change immediately.

Dont be too down on yourself. Theres a reason why gyms sign up more people in Januray than the rest of the year. Everyones fallen off the wagon with christmas partying, just jump right back on and go at it.

good luck
