I don't like water

Quote  |  Reply
You have probably discussed this a million times but I am new and haven't had the time to research this sute much yet.

I am not a water drinker.....but I love decaf green tea....mint flavored and I drink it by the gallons iced. I know green tea is good for you.....but how about counting toward the daily intake of water?

I think most people would say you could count that in your water total.

Have you ever tried putting cut up fruit in your water? Cherries, strawberries, grapes? It's a little natural flavoring and then you can eat the fruit when you're done.
I sometimes add lemon or lime but have never tried other fruits. I don't like sweet drinks (thats one blessing I guess). I drink my green tea unsweetened.
I drink a lot of green tea too.  I hope it counts, otherwise I'm in trouble.
Green tea is diuretic, so I'd try to find something else to drink in addition.

I didn't like water either... but decided I better start drinking more of it when I joined this site back in January.  Everyone said that I'd get used to it and they were absolutely right.  Two months ago, I had to write myself reminder notes to drink water, now I find I crave it!  I keep sparkling water in the fridge at home as a "special treat" but during the day at work I get through about 2 litres now.

So I would recommed that you persevere with the water, I'm not sure there is much to "like" about tap water, but I've certainly got into the habit of drinking a lot every day and I do actively like some of the sparkling waters, San Pellegrino is my favourite :)
I've been drinking club soda (or seltzer) with a wedge of lime or lemon squeezed into it, over ice. More flavor than plain water.
i didnt like water either and could not stand the flavored water because it was to sweet. what i do now is do 1/2 flavored water and 1/2 water. and it tastes much better to me and is not plain. some times i get the flavor packets on the go and they say to put into 16.9 oz of water and i put into 32-33.8 oz of water and most taste really good that way for me.
