don't tell someone something if you don't know what you are talking about..
i posted a blog asking if i ate enough during the day i sit around all day, i am 110 pounds 5'2 , the only time i burn significant calories is when i excersize the rest of the time i sit around, and i asked if i was eating enough i eat 1600-1800 cal usually depending on what i do, someone said i didn't eat enough, as if we all need 2000 calories, if i am shorter then you and weigh less then you, why do i need to eat like you? please don't give advice unless you know what you are talking about. I think it is better to eat when you are hungry, you know let your body do the math, unless you have a damaged metabolism. by the way two people my heigth and weight said they eat around that much.~erica
Then why did you ask?
umm...yea and why did you post another thread asking if you had a problem or something? don't get mad at people for giving their advice, thats why this a forum of non professionals..

because people were telling me i was undereating when i wasnt, so i was thinking i had some sort of problem~erica ps. im not mad but if you do not know then you shouldn't awnser telling someone they have a problem, cause then they will think somethings wrong with them..
You're 19 and you're reasonably active.... cardio 3 x 20 mins per week, strength training etc. You said in your other post that you found you lacked strength already. You probably feel perfectly well at the moment otherwise but, over time, if you undereat then you can find that you get other minor health problems emerging.
People who undereat can also find that their appetite dies away. So 'eating when you're hungry' can be misleading since someone with a poor appetite will not feel hungry all that often.
2000 cals really isn't an unreasonable amount for someone with your stats and it's easy to achieve by changing the mix of what you eat slightly, bigger portions and a few extra snacks. Someone taller, heavier or more active than you might need more. Someone older, lighter or less active than you might need less.
I do know what I'm talking about.... but whether you choose to take any notice is, of course, entirely your own perogative.
You know, when your response is to whine at people who are trying to help you out you just confirm solidly in their minds that it's likely that you are the one with the problem.
Whether or not you are under eating or not you are very defensive about advice given to you in the same way that those who do under eat are.
If you have a problem, please try to fix it or seek professional help. If you don't, then ignore the free advice.
Let me get this straight.
You asked if you were eating enough. Some people said that you weren't. Now you're complaining because you asked a question and they answered it? If you were looking for reinforcement rather than advice, maybe you should have stated in the OP that you were only looking for a pat on the back.

the cal calculator says i don't need that much, and i eat extra on days i work out..i dont always eat the same amount every single day. shouldnt have posted the other posts in the first place, and im sorry i did, and i used to do 11 pullups when i was 15 and weighed 95 pounds, since then (from puberty) i have put on some weight 110 pounds, and yes it is harder to do pullups now, plus i stopped doing them regularly but just started again.
The CC calculator is calibrated for people over 21... so it'll be about 200 cals shy for you because you're under 21.
You could easily be underestimating your food intake as 1600-1800. If you eat more when you work out and eat more at the weekends with your family you would probably find you average out at 2000 anyway.
As I've written elsewhere there is a danger when very young women get their bodies used to relatively low calorie intakes. Because as those people get older and their metabolism naturally starts to fall back a little they will have a devil of a job maintaining a healthy weight without resorting to being on a constant diet. Just bear that in mind.
