For the past few days I have felt STARVING for some reason. I've been trying to maintain a 500 calorie deficet and eating small meals throughout the day and eating them slowly. I've even been looking for more filling foods to eat, i.e oatmeal, wheat bread pasta. And yet, I get so hungry that I end up eating agian and only end up having a 100 calorie deficet or none at all :/ Why do you think that is? Also, will this cause me to gain weight or just maintain, presumably?
I excercise and move around a lot everyday... maybe I'm miscalcuating my calorie expenditure?

I have been the same way the last few days...I eat then an hour or 2 later hungry again. no real reason for it. it stinks, but with time it should pass of you are doing everything right. if not maybe you need more then you realize?
Weird...I was telling my walking partner tonight that today and yesterday I've been hungry all day long. I've noticed the scales aren't being kind to me, either the last couple of days. I'm still staying within my calorie range (around 1450), and walking most days. The inconsistency confuses me--doing the same things; eating the same calories--yet some days I'm hungry all the time and others I feel stuffed...
try drinking a tall glass of water when you feel hungery. 90% of humans mistake thirst for hunger. you may be dehydrated.
Double check all your calculations....it's possible that you're not getting enough to eat.
Snack on fruits and veggies, it'll fill u up and the calories wont trip ur diet...
I have that problem sometimes, maybe depends on the time of the month?
I totally feel you!!! The past week I've been a bottomless pit! I haven't changed anything, but I always feel hungry!!! I'll have to try to water approach.
I work in an office, so I am hungry more from boredom than anything, but I chew gum most of the day to help with hunger pangs. I also heard that chewing gum can boost your metabolism by 20% (don't know how accurate that is, but it certainly couldn't hurt!). It's like 3 calories for a piece of gum.
You're right... I HAVEN'T been drinking as much water lately, maybe I need to start that again... Thanks to everyone who replied! And to those yet to reply.
indianaa, DEFINITELY try drinking more water! when i feel hungry, and i know i've eaten plenty to keep me full, i drink a big glass of water. the feeling usually goes away! if you drink water and after a while still feel starving, then go for a filling low cal snack like veggies or fruit. sounds like you are doing awesome with the diet and exercise, so i bet more water is the key.
Indiana, you should listen to your body if it is craving more food you should do so. Always listen to you body and it is a good thing to shock you system every now and again to have a higher caloric day, keeps the wieght loss going!
I know that for me, I feel that constant hunger for a couple days before my period comes. I usually crave carbs and chocolate (of course!!), so it could be that???
