Dont wait till new years
okay, i know at least half of the people on here are planning some kind of healthy resolution for new years, as i did last year and am again this year. But you know what? why not start right now- today? new years is almost a week. alot can change in a week and i dont want to wait any longer than i have to to meet my personal goals. we all indulged on the holidays, maybe took a few days of working out, but lets get back on track and beat the new years band wagoners to the chase and start over again right now. what are you goals for now and the new years? share them and get support we all want t osee each other succeed and be happy
I think my poor stomach will kill me if I decide to wait another week to eat healthier...stupid indigestion. D:
You two should join the group *College Students Trying to Lose Weight* we're all trying to lose a few pounds before school starts again. For me it starts Jan. 20th. All ages are welcome. :]
I'm 5'6" and about 122 pounds and have the skinny fat syndrome. Since I've lost most my excess body fat this past year, my resolutiontion for next year would be to keep going and try to get an overall leaner toned figure. I've been trying to work on my lovehandles alot since that area has been the hardest most stubborn to get rid of. I think this will be a harder challenge than actually losing the weight in the first place. I've increased my protein intake with whey protein supplements and eat a balanced diet with 7-8 servings of fruit and veggies, high fibre whole grains, low fat dairy and lean poultry and fish. Hopefully with added strength training and running I can accomplish my goal. Anyone else with similar goals?
I know exactly what you mean! I too started my 2009 weight loss routine today because I thought to myself, why abuse my body and put on an extra 5 lbs this week if I can just get a start on the new year today? God knows this past week has been a NIGHTMARE on my body, I woke up today feeling miserable and physically ill from the salt and sugar all week. So I refuse to have another week like this one just to "get it out of my system" before the new year. I think Ive gotten it all out of my system and then some this whole month!! So YES! Props to the starting 2009-get-healthy a week early!! I'm with ya! ![]()
i agree.. i overate SO MUCH this holiday season and i'm really bloated :\ so since i'm staying home for new year's i know i won't have any food temptation.. and so i'm starting today. even though i feel uncomfortable and my stomach is very puffy, i'm cutting back on carbs all week, exercising and drinking tons of water. 2009 will be better!
I started the beginning of december!
I kick started my diet yesterday! I was going to wait till the new year, but seeing as i'm off work till the 5th I've got alot of time to dedicate to working out right now, so i need to make the most of it! I will let myself drink on New Years Eve, but thats it.
yeh im funa start from 12 tonight... in 9 minutes actually. make it official. got a week then before school and who cares if its nt a new years resolution.

I agree! I went way overboard with the eating on the few days leading up to Christmas, and Christmas day. The day after I started back on my plan and I'm feeling much better. I'm way to afraid to see how much I gained though so I'm going to have to stay away from my scale for a few days and start exercising. Good luck everyone!
