Good morning, all! Did y'all watch the debates last night?

I heard this song this morning and thought it was appropriate for the way things are right now.

No did not watch the debates. Was reading about it on-line. What did you think?

I think.. I think McCain has no respect for Obama and it shows. I think he has to FORCE himself to look at Obama and NOT roll his eyes or sneer and NOT interrupt and he's unable to do it.

I think while McCain altogether had some good points, he lost because he put his foot in his mouth (by ridiculing abortions in cases where the mother's health is in jeopardy) and on style points, because... he looks angry and bitter.

All the negativity is backfiring. He probablyis angry and bitter because it took him how long to get to be nominated and now it looks like he may lose? I'm still not betting that he will lose. Bush got elected twice.

Good morning HK and Kim.  No debates for me.  Don't like politics.

I would say that this WAS McCain's last chance at presidency. And... Obama steamrolled him. The cooler Obama looks, the angrier and nastier McCain looks. Obama did it to Clinton too, during the primaries. He stayed cool as a cucumber and she started looking and acting more and more psychotic.

Heya Lonestar.

That really has been to his advantage, being able to not get drawn into the ugliness.

Sorry - Hi Lonestar!

Well.. he DOES get drawn in... I mean, he's been hitting McCain back as hard as McCain'**** him, calling McCain out of touch, unstable, etc.

That was.. basically McCain was hitting him.

good morning

Good morning! {{Laura}}

Hi Laura!

{{HK}} :)  {{Kim Lonestar}}

I admit, I did not watch the debates.  I'm tired of the rhetoric.  I will read about them as I have the chance, though.  I immersed myself instead in the world of my silly books. :D

This one you should have watched. If you'd skipped the first and second, you'd have missed nothing, but..

... go back and watch this debate, Laura. Srsly.

Eh.  I pretty much know who I want to vote for anyway.  Sounds like this one would have sealed it.  I just get tired of hearing them talk talk talk talk about stuff, half of which they'll never be able to accomplish (or even plan to) once they get into office.

Sadly, probably not.

Though.. who knows? If Republicans take the hit in congress that people keep suggesting they might, Obama might very well be able to push through some of what he's been talking about.

I think it'll be interesting, even though right now it seems the popular vote is with Obama, to see how many Republicans/conservatives come out of the woodwork on election day.

Whatever happens, I just hope it's not yet another "too close to call" affair that'll take weeks/months to work out.  I just want a clear winner so we can move on.

I need some coffeh. :)

*YAAAAAAAAAAAAAWNS*
*plops down on couch*

morning
