I worry about losing my 20 lbs, because my neck tends to sag if I lose weight.  It happened a few years back, when I was very sick.  Now I need to lose 20 lbs, and so far have lost 5 in a week an a half... how can I prevent my neck from sagging?   Here are a few tips I learned..

 

1. Drink plenty of water.   At least 2 liters daily.  *if you have heart, or kidney disease, or suffer from Hypertension, please let your MD know about the water intake first.  (this applies to those having circulatory problems and swelling on your feet)

2.  Do neck and face exercises.   Look them up at UTube, and do them on a daily basis.

3. Don't lose more than 1 - 2 pounds a week.

4. Eat healthy meals

5. Daily exercises are a most.

 

I started at 160 lbs, a week and a half ago, now I am 154.  Way to go!

Thanks for the tips. Now, I'm just looking for tips to reduce a saggy everything! Lol

hunting around for stuff to read and found your post.  good idea.  i hadn't thought of u tube for exercise videos.

many years ago a woman in her 90's (who had beautiful almost wrinkle free skin) told me to avoid the sun(missed that one) and to always moisturize my face and neck.  to be sure and get on the sides of the neck & upper chest too.  she said most women moisturize the face but skip the neck and upper chest. for 57 I have pretty nice skin on my face & neck.  check some women  there faces are well cared for but the neck is wrinklely.

over time I have passed on this tip, my daughter and granddaughters are passing the tip on too.

I know about that neck thing. Turkey neck. So people are loosing weight that fast? I started doing this now and not sure exactly how many calories I need daily so I took a guess and try and keep at around 1200 but so far only one day was 1200. the other two were 1380 and 1435 calories.

As for the BMI it's not for me. If I weighed what it said I should I'd be a walking bone.  It's just not accurate unless you can put everyone into a box.  Not unlike most guidelines they usually end up being changed or rearranged
just like the food pyramid.

For me it will probably be cosmetic surgery on the neck. Not that i can loose weight that fast but it's hereditary anyway.

Other than that counting calories is extreamly difficult for me. And the time that it takes to sit at the web and enter each and every thing you eat "GOBBLES up more time" .  I just wished there was a faster way of doing this.
