1 year down!!!
It has been 1 year since I started my my new lifestyle. It was one of the best choices I have made. CC has been there for me from the first time I went out to dinner, to now, as I struggle with maintaining my new and improved me. I say struggle because I "know" what I should eat but I still want the whole meaty pizza.
I must say I have been constantly been evolving. I started with anything low calorie and now I'm into more of a clean diet with lots of extras. I love sprouting my own fresh foods and I really like dehydrated "bread" (its more like crackers). I like to cook and try to lighten up every recipe I find. Sometimes it even comes out better! I still like like comfort food but I try to only have it once a week and have the the really calorie dense stuff like fried food maybe once a month or so.
I have lost over 50lbs since starting CC and have dropped over a 100lbs total. I have extra skin and I'll never be 19 again (I'm a 38 year old mom) but I'm thrilled with the new me and don't ever want to fill out those fat cells again. I'll gladly keep my wrinkles I've earned them. T(he only weight I want to drop now is on a barbell)
I didn't gain it over night and it didn't come off over night, it was work and it wasn't always fun. The first 50lbs came off using very restrictive diets where I lost close to 80lbs then regained around 30 when I went back to eating "normally". CC has taught me what normal really is.
I reached my gaol in December and so far so good. (with continued support from the CC community)
If I can do it you can do it too!
Congrats on one very successful sounding year!
I also just passed my 1 year mark. I only managed 15 lbs in one year. I've got a tinee tiny bit more to go but overall I'm happy. I'm still adapting my habits - it is one thing to "know" what you should do... and another thing to drag your ass to the gym and avoid the cheesecake. :)
YEAHHHHHH for YOU!!! I am so glad you have found a place to come that has helped you help yourself. You seem to have balance, which is really the key to all things, isn't it.
I've been at this for 1 1/2 years now, with a 125 pound weight loss. So I can fully understand the journey you are on, and always will be on. Keep on coming back to CC-it works, for better or for worse!
jef9up 15lbs is great! Sticking with a healthier lifestyle and adapting your habits to a program you can live with is "priceless".
ddugan You are amazing! Balance does seem to be the key at least with me I never want to have to say no, but it is okay if I chooses to say it.
So many people on here are truly inspirational. Thank you to you both.
