91 pounds down, 34 to go!

Quote  |  Reply

Well everyone, today I've weighed in at 208 pounds. I can't even remember the last time I weighed in below 210, to be honest. I started my weight loss at 299 pounds, so today marks a 91 pound loss.

I want to get down to 175 pounds, so 34 more to go. I can't wait to see that number become 30, 25, 15, 10, 5, then 1. I've never wanted anything so badly in my life. I'm almost there, though. I now know that I can do this.

Way to go mangoj!  That is quite amazing!

Wow!!! Great Job!

Thanks guys! :)

Great job, your efforts are very inspiring! Any chance we get to see some before & after pics? :)

Oh my! Congrats!  You sound really proud of yourself and you should be.  Losing that much weight is not a small accomplishment!  Rootin' for ya!

Excellent job!  The nice thing about weight loss is that with each pound loss, the progress is that much more enjoyable.  You may still want to lose 34 more pounds, but where you are now is a world apart from where you began.

I am in a similar situation;  the highest I remember weighing was 297 some time ago.  I've still got a ways to go, but I am not stressing over it.  One day at a time!

Did you end up upping your calorie intake to a reasonable level or did you stick with 1200 when you were at 240?

Keep up the good work :)

Thank you for your replies.

I have photos, but my before photos weren't at my heaviest, and my most recent photos were at 222.8 pounds.

These photos were taken three years ago:

These were taken sometime in May, at the time I was 222 pounds:

Once I reach 199, I will be taking new photos, so hopefully you'll see those up soon.

Oh, and I raised my daily intake to 1500. I'm much happier now.

way to go!

Kvalhion,

I too once weighed about 295 at my heaviest back in August of 2007 for my 29th birthday.  I cut back in portions, more to save money.  I joined WW in July of 08 at 255 lbs.  and I was told about and joined CC back in March when I was down to 240.  I am now at 225.  I never tried a 1200 calorie diet, I simply tried to stick to the 18-1950 calorie allotment CC told me to and it has been slow, but pretty steady.  CC Wants me down at 152.4 but I 'm still as always just shotting for another 10 lbs gone.

Excellent, keep up the good work!  I figure it takes a long time to progress upwards in weight, so its going to take time to progress downwards in weight as well.  As long as there is progress over time then I am happy.   Right now I am exercising at least 4x a week and keeping my calories typically around 1800 a day (since I am male).   Now that I've learned to eat clean foods, I really do not feel deprived.   Just have to stick with it.

Take care and good luck!

Excellent job mangoj, hopefully I will have a success story soon.

That is awesome! Keep up the great progress & sharing your good news with others.. it is quite the motivation!
