Down 25 pounds in less than 5 weeks.!!
So far thanks to this site im down 25 pounds in 5 weeks.
Who knew counting calories was such an effective way to lose weight.
I check the site frequently keeps me motivated to continue my weight loss.
Thanks CC
What was your method, simply calorie counting?
That rapid weight loss seems highly unhealthy- I'm sure others will back me up on this- it's generally understood that 2 pounds lost a week is maximum for steady weight loss and eventual maintenance. I'm just concerned that it will be quickly gained back if your method is too extreme. I'm not trying to downplay your success, just trying to help your long term goals.
Basically all I did was drink a lot of water.. I haven't had any soft drinks or any juices with sugar at all. Im eating the normal amount of calories.. Just not eating any junk whatsoever.
Also doing cardio 5 times a week for around 45 mins, and doing weights 3 times a week... So far its working for me!
FANTASTIC! Good for you.

Not necessarily. If this person has 100+ more to lose, that is considered to be totally safe.
WTG on your progress! I wish you continued success dear!

I'm so jealous of you - that's what I have lost in total since Janua ry, and I have been working my ass off!
Well done you xxx
I have read over and over again about how unhealthy it is to lose more than say 2 lbs a week but what I have been seeing over and over again is that some people lose a lot of weight especially in the first month. That happened to me because I lost almost 20 lbs in the first month even though I did nothing out of the ordinary but follow the recommendations of the site and also did ton of cardio and resistance training. On Fit TV which I watch almost all day, most of the participants lose a lot of weight in their first month and there was this recent show in which the two top guys lost each about 40 lbs in their very first few weeks and they did not seem to me to be people that were going to put the weight on back quickly. A lot has to do with your state of mind. If you are committed to fitness, then certainly you will do everything to keep it up. What I am saying is that congratulations to you for losing 25 lbs and for the doubting Thomases they should be aware that this happens a whole lot more than they believe. And just keep on with you quest for fitness and remember it is a lifelong journey and not a quick fix.
The bottom line is, the more weight you have to lose, the quicker it will come off. So for all of you out there who want to lose 20 pounds or less, this is not typical. (see disclaimer in all weight loss ads)
And to the OP-Congratulations!
Is my sodium intake too low?
You have nothing to worry about because sodium deficiency is extremely rare. In fact, there is not even an recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA... Read more
