I have now lost almost 100 pounds and have only 30 pounds to go for my goal weight, it has been almost 14 months. I started here at CC+ at 257 pounds and am now at 168, anyone looking for motivation?  I have lots of great advice and hopefully can get you going again.

Hey ckimber, that is so fantastic!!  Thanks for letting us celebrate with you!  awesome!

Omigosh you look INCREDIBLE! Congratulations! I've lost 8 and a half pounds so far, and hope to lose about 80 pounds total. 1/10 of the way there! Sucess stories really motivate us all, we appreciate you and your hard work!

Congrats girl! Can you imagine carrying around that 100 pounds again? Heavy stuff :) Keep us posted on the next 30. You're doing great. You look so much younger!

congratulations!  i think we can all use a little motivation from people like you who are so freakin' awesome.

i have lost 30 lbs so far and i tried to pick up a 30 lb weight at the gym the other day and i couldnt believe how heavy it was and how much excess weight I had lost.  I cant wait till that 30 lbs triples like it has for you.

Congratulations again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats!!  Way to stay motivated and on track.  You look awesome!!  I'm working toward getting close to losing my 100 as well 15 more pounds to go.

Congratulations! you really do look great! keep it up! It really does motivate us all. I agree with the past posters- you look A LOT younger! It's crazy how weight ages a person.

CONGRATULATIONS!!    WAY TO GO!!  GOOD JOB!!   Laughing

Oh wow, that's fantastic!

I am struggling to get to the 100lbs mark myself. I started in 2007 at 355lbs, had a baby in 2008, and am 273 at the moment. I had hoped to have reached the 1st 100lbs milestone on January 1st this year, but i am suffering from a mental block. combined with finance-related stress issues. Eating is my coping mechanism, and i am not coping very well!

So i am more than a little envious, but totally determined to get to the 100lbs mark myself soon.

Well done!!!

WOW! How did you go it. You look awesome. Is there anything in particular that you ate that helped with the weight loss? I am very bad at exercising and want to lose my baby weight.

OMG you look great and way younger!!!!!!!  Congratulations!!!!!!!!!  Share some tips!!    Fantastic!!!!!!!!Laughing

Its true.  You do look younger.  Wow.  I cant imagine picking up a  100lb weight at the gym.  I'm still using the 3lb weights for calithenics.  I think that I better step it up to 5lbs.

Your post motivates me not to be lazy or get lax and reminds me of what I have to look forward to!

Thanks.

That IS very motivating. You started at about where I am right now. It seems like such a long road.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the comments everyone,  Just a little confession, I am 42 and my new boyfriend is 29, whoop whoop!  I know he's a little too young for me, but so decadent!

Anyhow, I do NOT deprive myself, I eat all the time, but never go over 1400 calories per day. I know it is very limited but when shopping, I don't even go down the aisle where my trigger foods are, like potato chips or ice cream.  I simply do not have them in the house, not even for an occasional  treat.  I nibble fruit, crackers, lean meat, beef jerky, sugarless drinks, gum etc.  I eat huge meals of steamed veggies in low calorie sauces like teriyaki or lemon ginger with single servings of lean meats, like chicken breast or roast beef.  I honestly am not hungry and if I do get hungry- I like prawns dipped in salsa; I will also make my own tortillas chips with flat breads and a little Pam in a frying pan, seasoning salt or garlic salt will flavour them up for dipping, very low calorie and very filling. Also try dipping rice cakes in salsa, so good!  I don't use mayo or butter, only eat the whites of eggs and my omelettes are filled with good  stuff like broccoli and green onions or mushrooms and ham (very lean)

It may not sound like it but I also go easy on salt, and drink tons of water or sugarless juice mixes like Crystal lite.  I exercise but only in ways that matter to me, like for example I chop and pack my own firewood, clean my yard, do my own rototilling of the garden and shovel my own snow. Even though it is tempting to just hire some man to do it, it is good for me and I really do enjoy it once I get going.  I simply can not sit on an exercise bike or jump up and own in front of the television, I would feel stupid.

Being healthy is my focus now, so the weight loss has slowed down dramatically, weighing myself every day is the ONLY way I am able to stay on track so don't forget to do that!  It will keep you acountable every day for what you put in your mouth.  Hope this is helpful!!
