Down 1.8... and my first "cheat" meal!

Hi everyone,

I've been here for about a week.  This morning I was down 1.8!  Yay!  I just finished the 9 day Detox phase of FatSmash, and now I'm going back to calorie counting, focussing on "Core" foods (Weight watchers core program).  Overall, in the 9 days, I lost 4.6.  I've lost weight before, so I know that will slow down now.

Anyway, I've been reading a lot about cheat meals, so tonight my husband and I had pizza like in the "old days", meaning we eat a LOT of it... I figured out the calories, and I didn't even go over my "burn" for today!  (Glad I did that step class this morning...)  Tomorrow, back on track.

It was difficult to let go and not be afraid of the pizza, but we weigh in on Saturday mornings, so we decided that Saturday night will be our cheat night, since it's the furthest from the next time we weigh in.  We're only weighing ourselves once a week.  I am trying to get to 140, so I have 8lb to go.

Thought I'd post and see who else had success to share!

Well, I'll share my success, since Saturday morning is my day too: down 2.5 lbs. Wow, that is a shocker. I have been perfect this week, with a 500-600 calorie deficit every day, but that still only should give me 1 lb.

I guess that is the joy of starting a diet: the weight flies off at first. I'm down 4 lbs in 12 days. I'm sure a good part of that is water, but I'll take it. If the big drops continue, I'm going to have to assume my burn meter is wrong and start eating more. I don't want to lose that much every week. I'm willing to bet it will level off by the end of the month to a stead 0.5 - 1.5 lbs per week. I'm on my way to 145 and I have but 15 lbs to go!

that pizza shouldn't hurt you :D i had 2 large slices today! i'm walking off the calories on my treadmill though...
