downloadable spin classes??

Quote  |  Reply

My boyfriend and I both have trainers for our bikes (little stands that go  under the back wheel and provide resistance so that we can cycle on the spot, indoors). Normally, we just set the bikes up facing the computers and watch movies while we ride, but I am trying to find some spin classes online so that I can get a more intense workout.

Does anybody know where I could find a spin class program to play at home on my computer?

Thanks!

Spinervals does DVD's but I don't know about downloads...

Great, thanks for the tip! I'm not sure if I can justify paying that much for each workout, but I'll see if I can find some used copies somewhere around town.

Hmm, eBay seems to have spinerval workouts aplenty; though I'm sure a garage sale would be even cheaper.

Don't know of any videos.  Why not listen to music you love and let your legs move to the beat!

Every year around Tour de France time, Chris Carmichaels (Lance's coach) puts together a "Do the Tour, Stay at Home" series of workouts, many of which include podcasts.  They can be brutally hard, especially since you're simulating the stress of riding hard for three weeks with very few easy days or rest days.

The downloads are free during the tour, but then are for-fee later on.

dllujan - I usually do ride while listening to music, but I'm looking for more of a structured workout to really push me and improve my fitness level.

behanna - thanks for the tip! The "Do the Tour, Stay at Home" audio series seems to be better priced than th Spinervals workouts ($10/stage vs $35/spinerval workout). Good find!
