"Dr. Burke" won't return to Grey's Anatomy

Is anyone surprised?

YES!  Granted I didn't see the final, but I didn't think the he would have been canned.  I liked his character too.  Can't say I liked what I heard about him off camera.

A drop surprised, but then it made sense.  Although that had to be one of the most depressing season finales ever.  

Fish - I, too, liked his character, but not what I had heard about remarks he had made off camera.  Based on the comments and backwash, plus the season finale, I expected this is what would happen.

Pooh - I agree, it was a depressing finale.

It will be interesting to see what they do with the show next season.

"Production resumes in August", so probably means starts showing in September.  That's just a guess on my part, but the " " is from another article I read.

Thank goodness for ABC.com, I have been trying to squeeze in a time to see it. 

Not too suprised.  I wonder if George will be back.  He flunked the test.

I missed the part about george not passing the test. Didn't buke and christine get married or did it end with him walking out? I only got to see part of one or missed the end. I'll have to try and catch a rerun.  Not real surprised that he not coming back.

gypsierose - No, they didn't get married, but it was Christine that got cold feet.  Not telling anymore, you need to watch it for yourself.  But, remember, it was a depressing finale.

kellygreen - Not sure where the George thing is going to go.  While it is true he flunked out, there is all the triangle mess going on with him in the middle.

I forsee a lot of changes in the fall and looking forward to where it is going to take us.

Does anyone miss McVet?  I mean....um...it WAS Chris O'Donnell for petes sake!

George has to be back for a while to sort out the stupid Callie/Izzy crap he got himself into.  **still mad at him for sleeping with Mer, not even going to think of him kissing Iz!**

Anyway, not sure on an exact date but I just saw a commercial for Desperate Housewives starting on Sept 30th and they usually start right around the same time.  So my guess would be around the 27th.  But they'll probably play the finale the week before just to catch people back up if you missed it or need a refresher like I do!

Grey's will be back on the 27th according to gossip and spoiler sites.
