Dr. Phil
I saw the preview for Thusday's Dr. Phil on ET last night. It broke my heart to watch the two women on there. They are both anorexic and weigh about 60 lbs each. One woman is 58 and the other 23. It oughta be a very eye opening program for those who watch. It may hit home for some too.

Yeah, one walked for 20 miles a day, 5-6 hours a day, and did an insane amount of situps and leg lifts and stuff. I was surprised she had enough muscle left to do that. But I fear that eventually her heart will give out because it is a muscle too, and anorexia will eat away at it.
But I agree with Dr. Phil, they need to learn to hand some of their power and control over, especially to someone else who wants to help them. That is the biggest problem, they feel the need control in their life, so they don't eat. Breaking through that mental and emotional obstacle is the hardest part.

I am so mad, I missed it! Came home to a flooded bathroom due to a backed up sewer line. Dang.
I saw the last half. I do hope the treatment that Dr. Phil offered will help them. It's such a devastating illness.
I so hate Dr. Phil. But I do so love to yell at the TV screen when he's on sometimes!! =)~
Raehn.. I am glad I am not the only one that hates Dr. Phil. Have you noticed his show is becoming more and more Jerry Springerish all the time ?
Yeah, I stopped watching it after he started installing cameras in people's houses so we can be entertained by watching people fight and act like animals.
To me, personal and family problems shouldn't be broadcast on TV for the whole world to watch. It's like whoring yourself...
