When I first started eating sushi I used to dream about it all the time. My problem is that I douse it in spicy mayo, so it's not as healthy as it could be. : /

I haven't had any nightmares persay, and def no dreams to recall since I started dieting, but I can still vividly remember my sushi dreams, lol.

i used to dream of food all the time back when my ED was at its worst...

lol *raises hand* i do. Tongue out I dreamed about food last week and I woke up feeling very guilty because I thought I had eaten a donut and a muffin. Surprised

good thing it was a dream...

I'm a vegetarian and the other night I dreamed I ate a whole chicken!  I was horrified when I woke up but relieved to find it was a dream and it didn't really happen... LOL

"A" dream?  Many dreams and usually ridiculous amounts!

The worst part of the dream is the fear of being caught- always seems to be food for something ("Where's the birthday cake?!").

Im not crazy about the guilt during the dream but oh the relief to wake and discover one's innocence.  Now if I could NOT feel guilty in the dream, I'll have found the true way to enjoy the food with no calories or health risks :P.
I had a dream last night that I was hanging off the side of one of those huge like 80-story buildings. I thought I could pull myself up, but my hands were covered in peanut butter, so my fingers slipped and I woke up and had to pee.

Maybe my body is trying to tell me that peanut butter will lead to my death. Won't stop me from eating it, though. ;)

Yes, one night I dreamt I was at Chilis and I was having two of their dessert shots (I think they're about 300-something calories each). I remember not being able to refuse them and thinking how I'd have to log them into caloriecount when I got home, and generally feeling kind of guilty and disappointed that I was eating them. It was really sad, and when I woke up I remember feeling relieved that it was just a dream. That's about the only time I remember dreaming of food and feeling guilty about it.

a few times during naps i have dreamt about overeating and woken up and thought that i actually did.

funny thing that u posted this post. cuz i just had a dream last night which involved TONS OF DONUTS. I think i was at a house party and all they served were donuts... krispy kreme if i might add. I wanted to eat something but when i went to the food table and saw at least 10 dozens of donuts i almost fainted. lol... but the good thing was that even in my dream i exercised self control and went to their fridge and ate 2 slices of whole wheat bread. hahaha. i know, random right?

I had the weirdest cupcake dream the other night.  Loads and loads of them, everywhere.  I must've eaten at least 5, all covered in gobs of sugary whipped icing, which I don't even like.

o.o  Dunno where it came from, though.

i had a dream that i totally binged on poptarts.

and another one about hot pockets.
haha bizarre. when i woke up i was just like "oh thank god i did NOT seriously just eat that many poptarts"
At the worst of my eating disorder I dreamed about food every night.  It was the ONLY thing I dreamed about.  I was always binging on something and then waking up feeling guilty and then relieved it was just a dream.  In my opinion, if you're dreaming about food often, it might be a sign that you're over-restricting yourself (I know I was.)

When I dream about food, I dream about long cloth-covered feasting tables, with all kinds of roasts, chops, veggies and fruits, wine, and we are all there, happy as can be, enjoying the food and each other's company. It's swell. I love food.

OK this was weird, and only happened once, but I had a dream I was in a kitchen in somebody's house... IDK whose... but someone was making pizza and I was helping.

And someone, I couldn't see who it was but they were right in front of me... rubbing their armpit in the pizza dough.

And so, their odd and very disgusting task finished, they cooked the pizza. And I somehow was forced to eat it, armpit hairs and all. But I was able to sort of spit it back out... then I finally woke up!

Same! At the worst part of my anorexia I definitely ONLY dreamed of food like every night...

though I'm pretty far into recovery, I had my first food dream in a while last night- kinda funny, it was that i binged on skinny cow strawberry ice cream sandwiches and then something about my ex-hostile roommate eating all my Dreyer's fro-yo. weird

I've had dreams that I was eating something I was allergic to or that I had just finished something only to find out that it contained gluten, dairy, animal products. Terrifying.

I do the same thing!  I've been a veggie for 10 years, but every once in a while I dream that I'm eating a Chick-fil-a sandwich.  I always think it's crazy delicious until I realize in my dream what I'm eating, and then I'm super grossed out.  Oh if only they could make a vegetarian Chick-fil-a!

LOL, I have never has a dream about eating but once i have a dream that all the ppl from that show the biggest loser were smaller than me, WTF

i learned about this in psychology.

people who are chronically hungry tend to dream about foods often.  countries stricken by famine, anorexics, etc...  the statistics were crazy... i was recovering from my ED then, and i had terrible food dreams.  not only the eating of an entire lunchroom table's worth of food, or mcdonalds the volume of a CAR in a single sitting... i had daydreams too.  i couldn't focus on anything else in life.  nothing else.  i would come on this site and read through incredibly unhealthy caloric information to get to sleep... during the day, i wondered what it was like to think about boys, or the future beyond lunch time, or games to play or social interactions or even school work...

ok, i got off topic.  here's my point.  when i was trying to fall asleep, i felt like i was being run over by a train, but not actually by a train: by images of food.  they just kept hitting my eyes, even when closed... bright, moving, full-color images of terrible, terrible (to me) (like fruit) (or milk) foods... and i would hold onto the bedsheets to keep from going downstairs and eating...

the point is, i was obsessed.  perhaps clinically.  at 97 pounds and 5'7", i was sick.  i didn't know it... not fully... and the "recovery" summer that followed was the worst hell i dreamed possible...

BUT I COULDN'T NOT think about food.  so dreaming about food made sense... wasn't quite as random.

YES!
all the time!
Just the other night, I dreamt that I drank a Venti Cafe Vanilla Frappucino with whipped cream.
I woke up in a cold sweat, literally
SO relieved when I discovered it was a dream
