Dressing for your shape

Quote  |  Reply

I Love stacey and Clinton. What not to wear on TLC. And have skimmed there book at Barnes and Noble. They do make people look so much better. I hate trying on clothes that look horrible because it gets me discouraged. "They" know its a bad choice before the person on the show even gets to the fitting room.

So its all about shape- I can't figure out what shape I have. Help please- My measurements are 33/27/36 so my bottom is slightly larger. does that mean I am a pear? or a fuller hour glass. I dont know!

I wanna go shopping with Stacey! :)

I agree...LOVE that show!  She talks a lot about common sense when shopping.  Don't worry about the size you are wearing, but what fits your body.  Sounds like you might be more of a pear shape...avoid flare and bootcut pants and jeans.  Stick with a good straight leg style.  You have a tiny waist, show it off!!  Wear jackets and shirts that hit your waist..OR wrap style tops and sweaters.

 Have fun shopping!

Sounds like you are a pear shaped person.  If your bust was 36", you would be hour glass.  You need to make choices that make you look longer.  No capri pants or skirts that hit at the mid calf.  You also want to pick tops that flatter your chest and make it look bigger (i.e. - evens you out a little) like a deep v-neck or wrap shirt.  Also, go for chunkier, bolder necklaces and earrings, they also have the same effect of drawing the eye away from the wide hips.  Lastly, since you have a trim waist line (I'm so jealous of your 27") Show it off!  This can make your hips look wide, but the little waist and wide hips is very Marilyn Monroe and very feminine/sexy.  Try a knee length skirt with a tunic top and a wide leather belt to cinch your waist, maybe with a pair on knee high matching boots or some cool, textured tights and mary-jane heels.

Okay.. but I work out so my shoulders are a bit wide. Also a flatter but. What works for this

Here is my attempt at new years- I think a bust
